How do you get the ingots to improve armor to divine?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@superfly_boss There are three different types of ingots.

Copper improves armor and weapons from fine to superior
Nickel improves armor and weapons from superior to flawless
Titanium improves armor and weapons from flawless to mystical

You can find those ingots in treasure chests located in the different regions of the game or by purchasing them from merchants. However you have to reach certain levels in order to acquire Nickel or Titanium ingots from merchants or you can get them in regions that require a higher level of difficulty. Copper can easily be obtained in the low level regions and from merchants and are what you will find when you first start out in the game. If purchased from merchants they cost coins collected from treasure chests or dropped from dead bodies or found in other containers. As I said the Nickel and Titanium ingots are found in the harder regions of the game and are also more expensive to buy via a merchant. The third way is finding a armor or weapon of either , superior, flawless or mystical and taking it to an armorer to deconstruct for the ingots. That also cost coins and as you progress in the game you will find those weapons and armor.

@chuckkatse Chuck, no. I am talking about the ingots that just got added into the game recently. Every divine weapon and armor has them. The information you are giving me is outdated now.

@superfly_boss I am guessing at this point; but, as Dawn of Ragnarök is not yet active, I do not believe we can get the item needed to upgrade our gear to Divine yet. We will probably be made aware of how to acquire this material once the DLC officially gets under way.

@chuckkatse It's actually Carbon, Nickel, and Tungsten that are used to improve gear from one quality level to the next; Titanium is used to upgrade gear after you reach a certain level of upgrade, not positive, but I think it is level 6 and above. Platinum is the new material that will be required to upgrade gear to the new Divine quality.

Hello! I have preloaded dawn of ragnarok on ps5 and had a countdown timer before this. Does anybody know when the dlc will go live? At what hour is it launching? Will it launch at midnight local time or at a set time for everyone? Has ubisoft announced anything in this regard? Thanks!

@superfly_boss Did not know about the Platinum Ingots since I did not pre-order the new expansion. I an now glad I did not since reading another thread in the forums stating that folks that have pre-ordered the new expansion have lost runes installed on all gear purchased thru Reda's Shop or the Ubisoft Store because that gear was automatically upgraded from Mystical to the new Divine level. Apparently Ubisoft is aware of the problem and is working on a fix. Who knows how long that will take.
