Hello There folks,
I am wondering how the color coding works with gear, sometimes green items have better stats than purple, some purple have better stats than yellow/gold.
How am I supposed to know what is what.
Sorry if I do not make sense, my primary language is non English.

1 - White. Has only common stat. Either Armor on gear or Damage on weapons.
2 - Green. Has Core stat. Weapon damage, Armor or Skill tier. Skill tier is ALWAYS maxed out, so free stat.
3 - Blue. Can have one additional secondary stat. Like crit chance, Skill damage, etc.
4 - Purple. Can have Talents on Chest/Backpack or On weapon. Allows mods on Head, backpack and chest pieces.
5 - Can have 2 secondary stats.
The value of the stats is modified ONLY BY YOUR LEVEL. So green gear at level 40 can have 15% weapon damage core stat. But nothing else, so it's useless anyway. The range of the stat (rolls) is mdified only by difficlty at what you are playing. Like Normal or Heroic. The higher the difficulty, the higher minimal rolls will be. At heroic it's 50% (if you count all 3 stats).
At level 40 you will be getting only purple quality and above.
Orange gear and weapons are exotics. Their talent and stats are fixed, and rolls at 70%+ ALWAYS (in common, so you can have 100%/100%/50% for example, it's still >70%).
