Just started a new replay of the Operation Motherland with almost all HUD turned off and without gear level. Created different sets of skins for my character and my AI teammates (for each environment and night stealth). Turned off teammate abilities and put on darkest night. Personally, it's like a new game, it feels much more realistic and immersive. Infiltrating bases during night and hovering over them with the drone with pathfinder thermal vision on is just purely gorgeous. The way your teammates put on their NVGs when you do it and reach out their hand when you want them to regroup?! This is really a great way to play the game!

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

I agree, there are some things that are inherently crappy about Breakpoint, but turning the HUD off is absolutely essential IMO.

It’s so much more fun to actually have to look for enemies and keep track of their locations rather than fly the OP drone all over and permanently tag enemies and objects. It forces a far more methodical pace and adds tension with every kill as there’s always a possibility of missing an enemy and things going kinetic.

Recently, I’ve been trying to approach Breakpoint from a fresh perspective with a new save file. Flip on Immersive Mode, set the difficulty to Elite/Extreme, and pretty much turn everything off, and limit your squad to only Vasily. The most significant positive change I’ve found was increasing injury chances to “Always” as it actually gives consequences for careless actions.

I’ve also been restricting my suppressor usage also to add a layer of difficulty. Vasily still has his suppressed sync shot and sync shot drones for quiet kills though.
