I really would like to know who the genius was that came up with "NO AMMO" in a shooter? If your going to put this kind of garbage in a game at least give us MELEE weapons so we can beat the heads of the enemies.Would you create a race car game with a "NO GASOLINE" option too.It baffles me that people come up with stupid stuff like this!

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    a) Turn off Ammo hoarders or whatever the directive is called that gives you no ammo
    b) Use a pistol as it has unlimited ammo and then pick up ammo drops from npcs. If you have a regulas equip it.
    c) Go skill build and watch your skills kill enemies without ever having to fire a bullet
    d) Use Gunner spec and wait until it generates ammo for you
    e) Learn how to play the game
    f) Any more questions?

    g) If you join a game with that directive, leave.

So, Ammo Hoarders is an OPTIONAL setting you can turn on (default is off) that has 2 purposes: one is to make the game "harder" (you have to be more strategic in your use of bullets); turning this option on will grant you more XP. The second purpose is role playing: there should not be an abundance of ammo in an post-apocalyptic settings (the game set in the U.S. notwithstanding) and it makes sense you'd grab ammo from the dead as you go around the city.

And even though you start with no ammo for your primary and secondary weapons, you still get unlimited ammo for your pistol.

So, how about you tone it down with the outrage and condescension?

Side note: if that racing game was set on a post-apocalyptic environment, it would make sense that you have to go around looking for gas, no?

whos the genius that came up with no ammo in a shooter?

maybe some BUNGIE dev-fan... Proud inventors of "No-ammo-4-u-shooter" genre
IMO the real question is: Why in 2022 we need ammo to play games ?????

I agree just leave - i don't mind it and always have enough ammo - you have to kill with your hand gun to get ammo for your other weapons. - my beef is the directive is up and there will be a player rushing ahead not giving anyone time to pick up all the ammo - if your going to set the directive them you must give players time to pick up ammo. I freaking hate players that do that and will leave the mission for that reason A guy was doing that yesterday would not give anyone time to pick up ammo I just quit.

I run Pistola almost all the time these days. Of course I'm also just drone and turret-ing it most of the time also just farming SHD levels cause there's literally nothing left for me to do in the game.

@txdieselkid I like Pistolero with my pistol builds.

I have one that doesn't use a shield [Lightening Rod, Punch Drunk, Claws Out rolled WD, Obliterate, The Gift], and one that uses a Bulwark [Kard Custom, and swaps in Memento, regular Claws Out, with Technician and the Artificer]. I also have a PfE variant of the Bulwark, that uses a Deflector Shield - Reds & Purples shoot the shield, Gold's don't shoot the shield, but with PfE it just tickles.

Tier 5 Bulwark + Tier 3 Artificer can tank Legendary, while still bringing solid damage output.

its a shooter... looter , so making you have the option to activate a directive that makes you loot ammo too isnt strange at all.

but i guess you made a wrong turn somewhere because im pretty sure this isnt the game you were looking for.
