I know Anno 1800 is more about the Sandbox experience, but I did like the campaign, and have played it several times in between Sandboxes.

The Goode siblings have cleared their father's name, but the Pyrphorian threat is still out there, along with their mysterious Leader (whom we all suspect we know who it already is).

Are there plans to ever continue this along, or was the campaign really nothing more than an extended tutorial with a slapped on story and will never be expanded upon?

I'd like to see more, honestly. With the Empire of the Skies DLC, could be a great way to bring the Pyrphorians back! The enemy returning with a fleet of flame-throwing airships, which is the driving force in the campaign to get you building your air fleet? Sign me up for that story!

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

I think Pyrphorian is destoryed for good, major blowed, they bring all fleet they had to make war on bright sands and lose major, now they had no longer had prosperity that proved oil along lost a number of slave (many join player and his sister's factions, lost number of loyal people in final Battles, while Lady Margaret Hunt might alive and link her wound, she had no power to recover at all after that, it's only happen when young queen was vulnerable and Lady margaret Hunt collect loyal secret people in her most of life (now she is old lady, but Anne harlow is other story, but Anne Harlow don't had mastermind like Lady Margaret, she simple pirate, had no power to bring empire down while Lady margaret Hunt had her chance and now lost, thank to Goode's elder sibling (player, cannon would be more likely eldest brother rather than eldest sister because due adventure with Aarhant with sleep in barn, fishing, and playing with dynamite, so I don't think it's lady do that so cannon is elder brother (player) that turn thing around and make queen's empire very strong, thank to Storyline with new world, then Cape Trelawney make queen stronger ruler, Arctic and then Allied with Enbesa, So Pyrphorian is just reduced to nothing and disband with no recovery during young Queen while player's warden of Cape Trelawney and manage Prosperity, Bright Sands and Ditchwater for his younger sister.

As Eden Burning show that pyrphorian is lost, pirate took ship and sold it, newpaper let world know Pyrphorian is bad news, and would be hunted down, in all while Queen's empire got strong thank to player and his sister, along Cape Trelawney, Prosperity, so go on.
So Lady margaret may alive but old and lost her time and power, will not recover after that final battle, and many player's action that ensure Queen's kingdom/empire are already strong and many had faith in young Queen.

It's just too many hint that Pyrphorian is destroyed and many computer a.i keep said that they destroyed for good at end of game. It's only work when queen and empire was weakness and it's one time surprised attack while queen right there before player turn thing around and turn empire into very strong empires.

At least right now there are no plans to add another campaign, or a follow-up the main campaign, to Anno 1800.
We might explore some aspects of the existing lore and stories in scenarios (like we did in "Eden Burning" last year), however.
