I'll keep it short - the reworks are forced and sloppy. It always ends with a meta infinite combo and some lazy undodgeable.

All I want to say is that moving forward - not everyone needs a rework! It is perfectly OK to release small changes to characters at the start of a season instead of waiting months and months for a rewrok. For example - it would be pretty simple to give LB slightly more range and tracking on his heavies, or make Nuxias deflect guaranteed at the start of a season since they are small but healthy changes that would keep things actually fresh!!

As for the reworks, some heroes just don't need a full blown moveset redesign. Just changes. When Highlander and Lawbringers reworks arrive, I pray that they receive identity focused changes instead of an entire redesign.

What I have just said also most certainly applies to Conqueror and his recent mess of a rework. No massive changes needed. Just a couple new moves like the charged heavy changes we saw in the first TG and some other simple balancing. No need to give him the ability to feint (keeps him unique) or remove his superior block (also keeps him unique).

Thx for listening to my rant.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@twofailedgoats pretty much any buff in any form is called a rework nowadays.

As for conq, not being able to properly feint is awful. If your opponent makes a proper guess, you can get guardbroken out of a feint. Which is pretty silly.

I like superior block heavies, but with the addition of feinting it becomes a necessary removal. You end up getting into situations where you get free guardbreaks from feinted heavies.

    Just things to think about.

@deathtocakl I know, but that made him unique and different. Like every character should be.

@shogun3554 Conq is epic and should not be changed too much, just slightly buffed. The last rework was garbage. Conq mains are used to full guard feint. No need to take it away. Feint does not equal buff. Just make conq a fortress and I'm happy 😊

@twofailedgoats The thing is when you go back in time, the community complained when all we got were small changes. Overall, I disagree with the sentiment. I would like to see more utility added to the heroes since For Honor's combat should be evolving or it will become stale.

The identity part I do agree with; Conq's rework with the undodgeables and full-guard changes made him too similar to BP and Kyoshin. In light of Conq, the devs should be more involved with the community to see what changes they really want to avoid future U-turns.

The main frustration with the reworks and new heroes is waiting for the rest of the roster to catch up.

For me, I want the reworks to make the heroes' kit more interconnected so they retain their identity while having their utility and depth increased.
