I think the birds are animated at 30 fps, while the rest is 60 fps. That's why the difference is so huge.
Try for yourself, go to any sync location(eagle symbol), sync and pay attention.
The birds seems also low resolution...The same goes for the birds you encounter in the open world, they have the same 30fps problem

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@kilyan82 Hey! Thank you for reporting an issue with the FPS of the birds.

So we can look into this further can you provide us with a video showing this issue?

Also what graphical settings are you running the game at?

Thank you and we look forward to your reply.

    Hello @kilyan82,

Thank you for providing us with more details and a video! I'm really sorry to hear that you are experiencing FPS drops and after checking your video I can see that it's indeed a visible change.

I tested this on my PC to check if I was experiencing the same but I'm afraid that I wasn't able to reproduce it. Can I kindly ask you to perform all of the troubleshooting steps listed in this article? This will help you to eliminate any potential software conflicts that can lead to this issue.

Many thanks and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.

@ubi-mark i disagree with the fps drop, it just drops from 59 to 56 fps while turning than it goes up again to 59 (i locked the fps to 59), and the birds are clearly much more lower fps than rest of the scenery, so no, the minimal fps drop has nothing to do with the animation of the birds.
I'm curious to see your video, how the birds play fro you, so i can make a comparison.

No reshade - no msi afterburner and riva tuner - still birds are low fps

Hi @kilyan82! Thanks for providing another video for us to take a look at, and for those additional details!

Were you able to go through the troubleshooting steps we previously sent? Did you notice any improvement at all? Also, can you try to lower your graphics settings temporarily to see if that makes a difference in how the birds look? I'd be curious to know if you see any changes after lowering the settings and then going back to higher settings.

Please also let me know if this is something you just noticed with the most recent update, or if you came across this issue before while playing. Thank you!
