I found I could upgrade various weapons to Divine quality at whatshisface's place in Ravensthorpe, so I did. None of them needed any resources (though some do).

Basim's sword was one of these. After this its name changed to Astral Blade. It has the correct description and the picture hasn't changed, looks like it's just the name.

I also upgraded a scythe - think it was called Moon's Cut Eclipse (thanks @bielik01). That has now got no name.

Regarding a picture, no. I do that when it helps. Here there is no need.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hi Vikings!

I am currently doing a routine check-up on the megathreads and I can confirm that the issue where Basim's Sword and the Eclipse Scythe change names when upgrading to Divine Quality was resolved in Title Update 1.5.3.

As we have received no reports of this issue since May 2022 we will now lock this thread.

If you experience this issue then please create a new post and we will look into this further.

    Thanks.

    Hello @SpirantCrayon22,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

This is strange indeed - especially when the weapon specifics didn't change. I'll raise it with the responsible team to gather some more information if it's intended.

@bielik01 - you mentioned that Eclipse's name disappeared - cam you please confirm what can you see at the moment?

Many thanks and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.

    @ubi-mark

As both of us wrote, the name of Eclipse vanished - there is nothing there.

As said in the title, when upgrading Eclipse scythe from Mythical to Divine its name "Eclipse" disappears from the scythe's name, leaving only "Divine Scythe" (underneath) as description in the inventory thumbnail. You can actually see in the before/after preview the name is missing. It's been proffered perhaps the developers forgot to include the name for the Divine upgrade. I want to upgrade my Eclipse scythe but don't want to lose its name in the process. Please fix this.

Thanks for sharing your report with us, @SpirantCrayon22.

As shared by my colleague @Ubi-Mark, we've forwarded these to the dedicated teams so they can take a closer look at why Eclipse's name has disappeared and Basim's Sword has decided to change its name.

If we require any additional information from you, we'll reach out within this thread. In the meantime, I would suggest that you keep an eye out for any future updates within the News & Announcements forum.

    Thanks! 😊

@vasilyzaitsev42 Yes it's the same on Xbox series X. If you upgrade Basims sword to devine. It's name changes to Astral blade.
If you upgrade the Eclipse sythe to devine the name vanishes and both have no descriptions about them. Odd.

2 weapons will not upgrade properly to Devine.
If you upgrade Basims sword to devine. It's name changes to Astral blade.
If you upgrade the Eclipse sythe to devine the name vanishes and both have no descriptions about them. Odd.
Seems to be on all versions.

I can confirm that exactly the same thing happens to me, the name of the Eclipse scythe has disappeared and I also have an ax bought at the Helix store (Crescent Moon) that has changed its name to Myrkalfar Ax because I also bought that ax at the store Helix. Please correct this.

@kingbeard Hey, and thank you for letting us know that you have encountered these issues with Basim's sword and the Eclipse Sythe. Would you be able to provide images or a video from your gameplay that shows both of these? Also, I have moved this thread over to our Player Support section so that one of our agents can continue assisting.
