I've been playing The Crew 2 on my Steam Deck through GeForce Now, but it's noticeable laggy (not cool on a racing game) and noticeably blurry.

please activate Linux support on your Battleye build, it's as easy as checking a box on your developer console for the game.

most offline Ubisoft games already run great through Proton, and all linux-enabled battleye games out there (Arma 3, DayZ, Unturned, and Planetside 2) run great on the Deck.

hell, I'll even buy a DLC to fund that if you want me to 😃

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@le_vagabond Agreed, this something that TC2 desperately needs. Also, we've even seen it run pretty decently on windows equipped decks so obviously it would run great on steamOS decks as well, provided they update the battleye. Additionally, this would bring in a plethora of new players and revenue not only from steam deck players but also countless linux players as well. Seems like a massive oversight on their part with massive gains to be had for minimal work.

Yep, this would be so awesome. There are already quite some games with anti cheat that work on Linux/Proton. Even games with Battley. See here: https://areweanticheatyet.com/: (https://areweanticheatyet.com)

@kmarkopl I know, that's why we're asking for support 😉 And even if they can't provide support, at least let us play on our own. I don't need online functionality in TC2. There are already some games where you can play offline without anticheat and for online you need anticheat

@KmarkoPL yes, they are not supported.
    But they're working!
I played Far Cry 5, STEEP and WatchDogs1&2 on Linux without any issues, and only the multiplayer features in WatchDogs2 were not available for me due to disabled EasyAntiCheat support for WINE.
