    Hi,

I had been plagued with a mysterious bug for the last 2 months - cash would mysteriously disappear for no reason at all. I'd be holding cash of $1.5M then suddenly 10 minutes later, have only $30K. I had NO automatic buys set up so it was tremendously frustrating to identify it.

Today I think I found it - I had a cash balance of $850K, then bought a frigate and $130K of stuff from Archibald. I kept the buy screen open, and within 3 minutes, my cash balance dipped down to $30K.

I restarted the save and tried it with Isabel - noticed the same thing too.

I restarted the save again and played for 2 hours without trading with them - and cash balance steadily increased as expected. If you guys wish, I can send you my save file and you can re-attempt it.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@mikehawk88 I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions for you, but I've had this happen to me as well - a sudden and very significant drop in cash balance, from healthy to precarious. The problem does highlight my biggest bugbear with the game, which I logged in to post about. When cash suddenly disappears (or starts rapidly decreasing), there's no way to identify where it's going/has gone.

    Hey there @MikeHawk88 and @blitzgerat!

Having your cash disappear suddenly and for no reason at all is never a pleasant or fun experience.

Thank you for making sure this got reported to me and also for letting me know the cause of it to better help me help others.

Feel free to let me know if there's anything else I can help with!

@blitzgerat very recognisable, around the launch of the game I already posted in old forums, that Anno lacks the ability to monitor your liquidity, since the income ticker is useless in that regard. This was never picked up.
