How do you guys feel who got beta invites is it still just old rocksmith with a few upgrades and at which price point do you think you would be willing to pay a damn monthly subscription?

I personally feel it's still the jank old code, from forum posts i've seen, and hell if the sub a month is $10, my pirate hat from their pirate game might just be put on, I don't wanna pay $120 dollars a damn year for a service I am never gonna spend 5 hours a day on, cuz believe me they will work in penalties if you do not stay subbed.

Just my thoughts, where do you guys stand?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@T00way Are you talking about the beta almost a year ago? If so, I wasn't impressed, but for me it was more about the layout and interface than the technical coding. I was spending more than the proposed subscription price already, so no problem with the price IF the available songs are well tracked and not a bunch of elevator versions. I've got a bad feeling that 95% of the database of songs will just be computer generated chords. I do think if they are going to charge a subscription that the software should be free ... it's useless without the subscription, so what's the point of charging for it. Kind of like the old days of paying for a cable box so you could pay for cable.
I'll be buying it, and getting a yearly subscription ... more about my addiction than about how good it will be.

@T00way RS+ is based on a completely different engine than RS2014 and RS1, and coded from scratch as almost nothing of the original code base could be reused.

I’m assuming the game will be free, as it’s a subscription, or at least very cheap if the expect us to pay for I'm still not convinced by the whole subscription thing, there are already loads of subscription based guitar learning platforms out there.

The big one for me is the subscription not being cross-platform. Most of the time I’ll want play on my Xbox, sometimes I’ll want to play on my pc, why should I be expected to pay for two subs? The likes of Spotify, Apple Music, Netflix, Disney...are all one sub, use on any platform, I don’t see why this should be any different.

It's a 100% completely different beast. No mini games, no multiplayer, no leaderboards. Just you playing to some vector-looking kinda graphics.

Hope the last year was spent adding sparkle and excitement to the game.
