I made a post some months ago about ideas for a new anno game
I hadn't played 2070 at the time I wrote those ideas and now that I have finally decided to replay it I have come up with better and more ideas that I think could make for a great game
Deleted that old post so I can start again lol
Something like Anno 2100 that maybe focuses on the years when the 3 factions were formed till up to 2100 or something (not a lore person so I dunno the dates lol)

The main idea is to get anno 2070 remade in a way that it plays similar to 1800
Most of these ideas I think could also be used as DLC

Adding the workforce system and adding more production chains to fulfil basic and luxury needs needs
Statistics screen that shows supply and demand like in 1800
New regions like desert and arctic (and possibly more) that each have different populations and are rich in different resources
    Possibly underwater cities
Add much more items for ships and production buildings and have trade union like buildings while also having island wide upgrades
Newspaper (but instead its tv news)
A similar system to the expedition system from 1800 but instead of expeditions its a mission board which is where all npc quests will go

    • Have all the standard quests from 1800 and 2070 + new quests like sending ships to islands to check the eco balance
    • Also have quests that send your ship off the map where it cant be used until it returns
    • The higher the difficulty of the quest the more chance of getting better items as rewards

Add more ways to generate electricity like using gas from the arctic or from oil

Add ship combat mechanics from 1800 that makes each gun fire independently and each do its own separate damage
Add more details in the dps info box that shows how many guns, damage, fire rate and firing angle
Maybe add more ships and aircraft that can fulfil a wider range of roles and also maybe change the position of guns or add more guns to ships this way they can fire behind as well
Could add a secondary gun mechanic to ships

    • Smaller ships secondary guns can just be like like anti air and anti submarine (these already exist)
    • Larger ships secondary guns could be like small guns that only have close range for example the colossus main guns might have medium to long range but cant shoot at short range but the secondary guns can

Make submerged submarines invisible to enemies where they can only be seen if they are within a certain range or if the submarine is firing
Oil tankers to transport liquids like oil and kerosene
Maybe pipes to transfer liquids across an island (instead of trains like in 1800)
Transport airport that allows to craft transport aircraft that use that airport to refuel and trade goods
Refueling fields that allow aircraft like choppers to automatically refuel if they are escorting transport aircraft or they can be used manually to refuel aircraft away from their airport
Maybe change the atlas aircraft carrier into a cheaper ship that can be built at engineers but they cant do as much as what they can do now
Maybe add a better carrier with probably 4 aircraft slots which can maybe do more
More pirates in each region and also allow them to come back and try to rebuild their base (like in 1800)
Maybe allow pirate submarines at hard difficulty to add more challenge

    Monument Ships
Upon reaching a certain level of executives/geniuses allows you to craft a very large ship that is built the same way as a monument and can only have one ship built or maybe only one of each built and can only rebuild them when the ship is destroyed
    Each ship has special abilities
None of these ships have submarine damage

Tycoon ship is a large sized battleship
Very high health but much lower self repair
High ship/building damage but low/no aircraft damage
Special ability could be to launch a nuke or if that's too powerful then maybe a different ability like a helipad and have it launch a special combat drone that can only attack enemy aircraft or something like that

Eco ship is a large air ship
Very low health but very high shields
    Medium aircraft and ship/building damage
Special abilities could be that it can be used to increase the eco balance of an island that it is currently floating over like a large ozone maker (increases maint cost when active) and maybe an ability that can launch combat drones

Tech ship is a large trench coat sized aircraft carrier
Medium-high health with much higher self repair
Maybe medium aircraft damage but very low/no ship/building damage
8-10 slots on top that can hold all military aircraft and 4 slots down below which are reserved for small aircraft
Special ability is to be able to craft small aircraft (provided that it has the materials in storage) like choppers and place them into the 4 reserve slots below which can be brought up but maybe make it so moving aircraft will take a few minutes

New mechanics for trade routes that allow you to assign escort ships to the route that automatically protect the ships that are trading
    examples

    • 1 trade ship and 2 escort ships will have both escort ships automatically protecting that 1 trade ship
    • 2 trade ships and 4 escort ships will automatically assign 2 escort ships to each trade ship
    • 2 trade ships and 5 escort ships will assign 3 ships to the first trade ship and the second trade ship will only have 2 ships and display an error that the escort ships are uneven

Can have it so its something like the trade ship will always wait up for the escort ships to finish attacking enemy ships and if it knows the escort ships wont win the fight then it will speed off
In the event that it does speed off have it wait at port for the escort ships to catch up or something
Having a system like this should make it easier to manage and have less problems where ships get separated especially if they are travelling to different regions and stuff

A Cape Trelawney like DLC that comes with a massive island but you have to work with eco and techs to restore the island which has been destroyed due to something like a war (cleaning up radiation from destroyed nuclear power plants and restoring island eco balance and clearing other ruined buildings)

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
