    If you shoot the enemy in close proximity, you can ignore the armor plate.
    Even the boss of the Legendary Manning National Zoo.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hey there @kw_jn

    As far as I can tell, this might be working-as-intended, since it's not usual for a player to get this close to a shielded enemy to begin with. Just to clarify, if you move back so that the tip of your gun is not clipping through the shield, you don't do the same amount of damage, right?

    Just to ensure this isn't a one-off glitch, you can also try following our basic console troubleshooting Guide.

    What is wrong with this is that the player is unintentionally defeating the gimmick that the development intended.
    This boss seems to be set up to be defeated after the armor plate is destroyed, but by using this glitch, the player can defeat it without destroying the armor plate.
    This boss is weak, so it is "normal" to approach it in this way.
    This glitch has probably existed since its release. It is also effective against the black black task tanks.

    Shields are not involved. The armor covering the surface of the body is called armor plate.

    @Ubi-SleepyGoat
    r_._ added what I wanted to say.
    As shown in the video, it is able to damage HP even though the armor plate remains.
    (As you say, it can penetrate the shield, but that is not the point.)

    This is not just a matter of close contact; an appropriate distance must be maintained.
    Perhaps it is caused by overlap between the muzzle and the body inside of the armor plate.

    Also, this is effective all of tanks and warhounds.
