I'd like to pre-order the Assassin's Creed Valhalla PlayStation 4 Gold Steelbook Edition but it's not available here in Canada.

    WHY?

Correct me if I'm wrong, this game was made in Canada, right? Aren't Canadian Assassin's Creed fans important enough to get the "fancy" editions?

You could find that Gold Steelbook edition in different US stores (Amazon, Best Buy, Game Stop), for example:
    https://www.amazon.com/-/es/dp/B087XTSGLQ/ref=sr_1_4?__mk_es_US=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&dchild=1&keywords=valhalla%2Bps4&qid=1604070993&sr=8-4&th=1

...but here in Canada, there is only one PS4 edition available (the standard one):
    https://www.amazon.ca/Assassins-Creed-Valhalla-Playstation-PS4/dp/B087ZLSH6P/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=valhalla+ps4&qid=1604071166&sr=8-1

Will the Gold Steelbook edition (PS4) be available here in Canada? I want to pre-order it because I also want to be elegible to receive the early access to the bonus mission (the way of the Berserker).

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hey there! Thanks for your query.

I don't have any further information regarding the availability of this edition in Canada. It's possible that it may be made available at some point in the future, but I don't believe it'll be there to preorder. Keep an eye on our store for any updates regarding this, and apologies for any disappointment caused by this!

@sebawolf82 Almost every single game I've ever seen have regional specific rewards for different games, USA has always had the best editions, it was like that with Breathe of the Wild, Octopath Traveller, evidentially this game, etc etc. Fact of the matter is that developers will always favour their biggest market. I mean one time we got a region specific bonus in Australia, which sold out immediately because all the Americans purchased them and shipped them home. You should count yourself lucky you can buy special editions directly from Amazon US. In Australia we've literally been blocked from US Amazon because of tax reasons, so we have 0 way to even access other markets editions.

@ubi-spud Do you have any idea who might know? This is a really bizarre situation considering it affects every upcoming ubisoft games and no one seems to know why these games, which are literally made in Canada, don't offer physical copies of gold/ultimate editions here when they're available across the border and in Europe and in Australia

@ubi-spud Is there any way you can get information regarding this. The previous 2 AC games were released in Canada in a Gold Edition Steelbook and I would like to keep up the tradition of getting it in that format... Only on Xbox.

    Hello there everyone!

I sincerely apologise for the delayed response. Please do be aware that some of our Ubisoft Store regional storefronts don't sell physical media/merch, so if you are in such a region, you would need to consult local retailers for more information about any possible availability of such an edition that they may have.

The products available in each region are displayed on our regional storefronts, and we do not have any additional information regarding availability than that. I apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by this.
