I have the same problem, but when I first launched it my PC suddenly started to close other windows and the PC got ready restart. Uplay say there was an error, and that I should find a crash report under c:\Programfiles (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\crashes, but there are no crashes folder and no file that gives me any information of why it start shutting down my PC.

I Verified the files, and the same thing happened. When I try to start again it just stays at Assassin's Creed logo until I close it. I never seen a game in the last 10 years trying to restart the PC when it launches the game.

@all1neediskill thats exactly what happened to me!

@all1neediskill Forgot to mention that. Yeah that's pretty weird, a PC game has never involuntarily restarted my computer.

I have the same problem. I play with uplay and a xbox one controller. It freezes at the AC Logo. When i turn off controller it works but as soon as i turn it on again during game it freezes the game.

I have the same problem. My drivers are up to date 457.30, I'm on direct x 12. I uninstalled the game and the launcher twice. But I only get to the first window on the desktop with the Assasins logo!!!

i moved the game to my (C:) and now it works!!

@opayaki so Ubisoft can fix it quickly but theyr blind us

@luzi88alkor Spent $129 on the deluxe and will not unlock on the xbox one I am in the same boat and sinking before can see land!

@shakerworm 2 h past after the realease : NO publish from Ubisoft for explain the situation and for others country more time they always lose her start, ive expected this time with Viking powerfull AC franchise it was différent but...not

@luzi88alkor Yo I had the same issue, my fix was to install it to the :c drive and not a different drive to the uplay client. Crazy times that its 2020 and ubisoft can't have the tech to launch a game thats installed on a different drive.

@eddycyprus Epic unlocks at 9AM EST....tomorrow...

Moving to C drive fixed it for me, but I hope its just a temporary solution since my C is a HDD

@all1neediskill Moving the install to the drive made the game work for me. I see it hasn't worked for some and worked for others.

Tried it on 2 different drives, SSD and HDD
Have verified the files twice.
Have ran both .exe files as administrator - NOTHING WORKS!!
