Bad performance (i7-8700K, 3080 FE, 16GB RAM)0 Likes/4 Replies/92 ViewsOriginal poster pragmatick2 3 posts
I can't get stable 60FPS on my machine on 1440p with Settings mostly set to high. Even with adaptive performance there are really bad frame drops. GPU usage is at 100% all the time, CPU about 60%. In the first room of the game (with the little boy) I can't even turn the camera without stutters.
Yesterday's drivers, no fullscreen optimization, tried with and without VSync, fullscreen vs borderless, etc. That you have to restart the game for nearly every performance relevant setting makes this so much worse, if possible.

Yep I'm getting really bad performance with 3080 too. Stuttering with vsync on or bad screen tearing with it off. Weirdly its super smooth in windowed mode.

@pragmatick2 I'm very sorry about the delayed response to your post! I also apologize for the poor performance you've been experiencing in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. My first recommendation would be to complete everything listed in this support article as it directly addresses how to improve performance in Valhalla specifically. Among those suggestions is our technical troubleshooting guide, which would definitely be great to try out. Those steps are quick to complete and tend to resolve varying technical and performance problems such as: crashing, freezing, stuttering, high CPU/GPU usage, etc.
Afterward, if none of these suggestions help, please upload your MSinfo file in a case at support.ubi.com. Our technical support team would be more than happy to provide specialized assistance for you to get these problems resolved. Thank you!
