So playing on my i7 9700k 2070 super, I figured I would at least be able to play this on high/VH settings 1440p without too much of a framerate drop. Boy was I wrong. I hit the first major town and I was dealing with 40 fps. Good.... lord.
Changed the settings from vh to high.... and no framerate change.
However there seems to be one setting that makes the biggest difference. Environment Textures. Changing that from high to medium, everything is much smoother. I can even bump everything else to high and it's still smooth.
There's still an occasional stutter- very annoying. I'm assuming this will get patched out.
Also, since this is DX12 only, is there any point in disabling full screen optimization for the EXE file? This made a huge difference for Odyssey, but not sure if it'll help here?

It's completely unplayable for me with stuttering and audio glitches every few seconds on an i9900k and 2080ti.
I've messed with all the settings and nothing makes much difference, I can get between 55-140 fps depending on detail and resolution settings, but nothing removes the constant drops to 2-4fps and audio stuttering.
Have applied for a refund, but as expected have heard nothing back from Ubisoft.
Great waste of £50.

It seems like it's just main villages. I put back the same setting once I got to england and it runs silky smooth.
I feel like some patching is in order to fix performance issues in large villages, which is pretty common with assassins creed games, particularly the last few.
