Hi, I noticed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla have exactly same problem as Watch Dogs Legion when using a controller and then pressing a key on the keyboard, the game gets stuck/frozen for a couple of seconds causing a stuttering issue, and most of the times, makes the game crash.

I play with controller, but I record my playthrough with shawdowplay, and need to press Alt+F9 to start recoding, then the problem occurs, it is the same issue with Watch Dogs Legion, which now I believe the problem originates from Ubisoft Connect itself, this is listed as a known issue in Watch Dogs Legion forum, hope you do the same with Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and hope it gets fixed soon, actually, maybe get rid of Ubisoft Connect and go back to Uplay that was working fine, I really do not understand why you changed to Ubisoft Connect, it is causing so much trouble to everyone.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hey there Sammarok! Thanks for sharing your report of this issue with swapping between keyboard and mouse and controllers in Valhalla, and I sincerely apologise that your thread was not acknowledged or responded to sooner.

We did have a dedicated megathread for an issue with stuttering / audio cutting out when switching between control schemes, which likely was relevant to the issues you are describing here. Those issues were resolved since they were reported, and using a hybrid control scheme should hopefully now not cause any noticeable delay or interruption. Hopefully, any issues you were having with the Ubisoft Connect overlay should now also be resolved.

If anyone still notices issues such as those described in this thread / the megathread, please do open a new thread to let us know, and provide a video if possible showing this. If your game crashes at the same time, please run through our basic PC troubleshooting to try and address any common issues that may be impacting the game's performance first before posting, so that we can continue troubleshooting with you with that already done.

I'll lock this thread now as it is older and likely outdated, but per the above, do not hesitate to open a new thread if any similar issues yet persist. Thank you! 🙂
