Haven't seen anyone mention this exactly yet, but on PC, when you get to England, finish off the people in the settlement and rescue the 2 civilians in the longhouse, it cuts to a near infinite loading screen. What follows is me, Dag, and Sigurd just standing there. Can't move, can't save, can't open the map. All i can do is put my disguise on and take it off.
Haven't seen anyone post this specific problem anywhere yet, so i just thought I'd check here to see if anyone else has run across this as well and may know a possible fix. If push comes to shove, i may just wander England without a settlement lol.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Exact same thing... there is a setting supposedly that if you set everything to ultra and try loading it again it fixed it for me.
Basically load the game back in ultra and try the sequence again. (just the resque part after the fight)
Then readjust your settings. good luck chaps
stuck here aswell. been trying to fix it since last night, currently reinstalling then i will try the ultra gfx swap method
Same bug for me. I've tried everything I could think of, even starting up my save from Norway again and re-playing the Layla part. Every time it cuts to the loading screen it takes a very long time (Like 20 seconds on SSD) and then I get Eivor, Sigurd and Dag all standing inside each other, only able to use the pause menu, and put on/ take off my cloak. Was really looking forward to exploring England after 6+ hours in Norway lmao. Guess I should have just stayed with Harald.
I'm literally stuck on the loading screen for Layla.. It doesn't load at all.. I can move the character around and switch the tips, but the main game does not load.
