    Hi Vikings!

The dedicated teams have provided us with the following update:

After thorough investigation from the development team, we will be unable to continue looking into potential solutions to instances of screen tearing or FPS drops. After ongoing improvements aimed to fully address this issue, it will not be possible to resolve this concern completely for all players.

Following this decision, we will now be marking this thread as "Resolved," as no further fixes are planned. I understand this may not be the update you were hoping for, and apologise for any impact this has had on your gameplay experience.

Please feel welcome to share your thoughts and feedback within this thread and we will forward these to dedicated teams.

I would like to know if the screen tearing issue has been abandonned, because not only it’s still present after TU1.5.3 I no longer see it under the “Under investigation” section nor the reported bugs. It might be the region I am, but I have noticed it has increased over TU 1.5.2. Seriously, this has been going for more than a year and it kills the gameplay experience.

    Hi All,

I'm running into an issue with Valhalla, i have noticed and tested that after an hour or maybe 2 hours the game starts having framerate issues and screen tearing issues. when i shutdown the game and go back to the dashboard, then start the game again, continue it in the same spot as where i was before all issues are gone. after playing for some time the problem presents itself again. The issue is most noticeable in raventhorpe or big castles. I am running the xbox series X on 4K with VRR enabled, and DTS for sound. the xbox is connected to a LG C1 screen. I am not using Quick Resume with this game. Hope you can help me out, or know if this is an issue since the latest update. Thank You.

    Kind Regards,

    Mike Brussee

@mikebrussee That is an issue with the game. Ubisoft said they are not fixing it. Here is a mega thread on it: https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/78552/resolved-screen-tearing-on-series-x-s-post-here?lang=en-US&page=1

Hi @mikebrussee I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing framerate and screen tearing issues whilst playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

I have merged your post with a megathread that we created for this particular issue. As mentioned in my post above, the development team are unable to continue looking into potential solutions of screen tearing or FPS drops.

I can only recommend going through the console troubleshooting to see if that helps in anyway.

    Hi Vikings!

I am currently doing a routine check-up on the megathreads. It was announced in June 2022 that the development team would be unable to continue looking into potential solutions to instances of screen tearing or FPS drops. After ongoing improvements aimed to fully address the issue it was not be possible to resolve this concern completely for all players.

As this particular issue will no longer be investigated we will now lock this thread.

If you do experience any issues with screen tearing of FPS drops on your console then please go through the troubleshooting if you haven't already done so then try again.
