I didn't see it in the patch notes and was so fed up with missing events because of this bug that I came by this forum to see if anybody else was raging about it. This official response is an extremely welcome sight. Can't wait to actually play again, fingers crossed it actually works.

    Hello there,

The development team have reached out to us with an update regarding Eivor's speed whilst walking in disguise. The team have announced that this behaviour is working as intended. You can read their full statement below:

We can confirm that the speed of Eivor walking while in disguise was improved with Title Update 1.2.0 and is working as intended. Full speed navigation is unaffected by disguise, but when walking, the feature slows down Eivor's walking speed.

Following the development team's announcement, this issue will now be marked as resolved.

We understand that this may not be the answer that some of you were hoping for, and apologise for any disappointment caused. We do not know of any plans to implement any further changes to Eivor's walking speed whilst wearing a disguise. We will continue to communicate all of the feedback and comments shared in this thread with the developers for them to consider.

    Thank you 🙂

    @roskmeg If you say so.
All other PC players (I've spoken with more than 20 friends, + online comments) - none of us have this fixed.

It is partly fixed for me. It is not the slowest speed but when I toggle the disguise, I can see it is certainly slower than the normal walking speed.

Still seems to be too slow to be useful. Maybe a tiny bit faster than before but not by much. Definitely not normal walking speed. Good job Ubi, can't say I'm surprised at this point.

it felt the same for me at first because i was still in 6 walking speed. after putting it to 10 there's a significant difference, before the update you walk the in the slowest speed possible regardless of your walk speed setting while disguised.

It's quite a significant difference from before @BojanZdjelar

    Video example :

Hope user iLuvThighHighs is okay with me using your video for comparison.

Correction*, video i used for pre 1.2.0 footage is from chaosandcoffee, not  iLuvThighHighs.

@laplacehel Well I suppose that makes it a little better. Sucks that we have to put on walking speed 10 in order to walk a decent speed while cloaked. It's better than nothing but it'll be annoying to have to constantly switch between walk speed 6 & 10 in order to move at the right speed for both. They should have a separate speed adjuster for cloaked and uncloaked.

@ubi-borealis It's not fixed, it's adjusted but not fixed. Again, the incompetence regarding this issue is just staggering.

    Hello all!

Thank you for continuing to update this thread following TU 1.2.0 with your experiences and feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the speed doesn't seem to be completely fixed for you all, and apologise for any disappointment caused. I've passed on the reports you have made to the development team so they can take another look at this.

@Roskmeg - Thank you for sharing that comparison video. I can see that the speed has definitely increased from pre 1.2.0, but it's still not the same as the normal walking speed. I've forwarded this to the development team so they can take a closer look.

    Thanks! 😊

Good thing i switched back to odyssey, its absurd how they take 4 MONTHS and couldnt even implement two different walking speed sliders and an hold to sprint button its just funny at this point

I cant even catch up a walking guard while cloaked, whats the point then?

    Hello there!

I'd just like to reach out to you all with an update. I've passed on the reports you all have made following TU 1.2.0, and that disguised Eivor is still walking slower regardless of the walk input settings. The development team have reopened the investigation, and they are currently taking another look at this issue. I apologise for any disappointment that has been caused following the update.

Once we have any new information to share with you all from the development team, we will let you know as soon as we are able to. Additionally, if we require any additional information as part of the investigation, we will reach out within this thread.

    Thank you 🙂

@ubi-borealis thank you very much, its good to see that at least some progress is being made. Its frustrating that such a major and simple issue is taking so long but we are nevertheless glad that you guys are taking the extra time to investigate it for the PC users.
It would be awesome if we get the updated fix for this next update

    Hello @yell0cake,

Thank you for the update and your patience.

I just checked this issue and I can see that the development team is still investigating it. Once we have more details, we are going to let everyone know through the patch notes and this thread as well.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.

@ubi-mark I have a question. So, is there any update on this or should we all just give up now and just wait for the next AC? Which I would ask you, do you think I should even buy the next AC game or the DLC for Valhalla for that matter? Do you as a fellow human being think I should spend any further money on this product? Because I mean, 6 months and it still is [censored]. But no no, let's fix Redda the moment something isn't right with him.
