@longjohn119 Yes, I posted this in Nov, didn't get response and it's not even on the reported issues list. I reported the exact same behavior. None of the settings change the behavior at all and the ONLY time my bow ever snaps to a target is if I am crouched in a bush in stealth and I try to target an enemy. So many times, I do that and either the aim goes completely wonky rapidly snapping to multiple targets and spinning me around in a circle, or it snaps to an enemy I can't even see behind me, even through walls. It's so broken.

@missm16 My bow has been mythical and fully upgraded for weeks and it still does not auto aim for me. Mine is also a hunter bow. What runes do you have on it?

To be perfectly honest I don't even care anymore ..... I put together a really good build of Skyrim with 347 Mods and patches and 217 plugins and while the bow doesn't have auto lock I can drop into 1st person where auto lock isn't nearly as necessary (Plus I have a Archery Overhaul mod and a arrow/bolt speed mod) I have armor sets that not only look great I developed high level blacksmithing and enchanting skills so I can upgrade them into something really special ..... The skill tree (Ordinator Mod) is infinitely better than Valhalla and actually makes sense when trying to make specific build types without having to get a bunch of unwanted/unneeded skills just to get to the ones you want ..... The Hearthfire DLC (plus some more mods) allows me to build 3 homesteads that are really cool ..... Way better than this settlement which was kind of a disappointment for me .... The graphics upgrades make it look like a new game and the ability to build and use my own LODs based on my specific graphics, weathers and lighting mods makes everything look really good up close and from a distance

Even if they fixed Valhalla tomorrow I still wouldn't play it until I'm done with Skyrim and I have a lot of content left, both in the game and numerous mods that add content

    Viva la modders!!!!

@longjohn119 yeah I can't help but think, as I slog through this half-[censored] attempt at making Skyrim (9 years after the fact) that maybe I should have just loaded up Skyrim again.

@missm16 What?? We need bow upgrades in order for the Aiming options in the Difficulty and Assistance settings to actually work? That is totally ridiculous. Is this really the case?

Hello everyone, and thank you all for your patience. I sincerely apologize for the time taken to get to this thread, but I greatly appreciate all of your patience. Thanks for each of you providing updates and information regarding your personal experience with Aim Assist. I have forwarded this up to the Game team so that they may further investigate. If more information is requested by them, or provided, I will post it here.

Just to be sure, is everyone continuing to experience this following the 1.2.1 update?

Hey everybody! I've heard back from the Game team and they were able to reproduce this issue with options: Partial, Light, and Off. So please know that this is under investigation. 🙂 However, the Full Aim option worked normally. If any of you are experiencing issues with the Full Aim Assist, please provide a video from your gameplay that shows your Aim Assist settings and any difficulties you experience with Full Aim Assist activated. For a video, just post it to YouTube as unlisted and then post the link here.

Also, thank you mpmblackmail for confirming this is continuing to occur on 1.2.1!

I warned you about this problem the day after the game launched and it took until now to finally get around to verifying the problem? Sorry but I removed this game from my drive months ago and it's not going to be installed until you get this problem, the crash and low FPS problems and the getting stuck in quest problems none of which are even remotely close to being resolved

Besides I'm booked solid for the next couple of months playing a highly modded version The Witcher 3 which hasn't crashed even once on me so far nor have I seen any other bugs

@azullfr Just for comparison here is some hunting on horseback in Odyssey and Origins ... This is how it SHOULD work in Valhalla and the difference is like night and day so I can't see how it was ever overlooked much less still overlooked 8 1/2 months after release

Anyway yesterday I got angry with the 1st bow challenge, I killed all the guards, most of them by indirect casualty and the counter kept reseting to O if I killed one by normal means ....so I had no medal at all. Is a bug ?

    @garbo3

    • The X & Y sensivity setting at Max are good for me, but you will have to test the best settings for you,
    • No controller shake (I don't know the exact name) set to "None" is a setting that I started using in COD Modern Warfare and I like it when aiming is crucial (COD) or problematic (Valhalla)

    Good tests to you
(I'm gonna do some test in Bow challenge and tell you later)

    Nice day to you 🙂

Hello again, and thank you all for your continued updates and patience. I greatly appreciate the images and videos provided and have forwarded these up to the Game team as they continue investigating.

Just to make sure, when you try adjusting the X and Y sensitivity settings does that cause any changes to the aim assist?
