We are now a society that's get offended by words used in a game to describe a horrible experience that befell a fictional character?

Horribly burned in a childhood accident,
Eorforwine is terrified someone will see her
    disfigured face. She relieves
her fury with bursts of violence.

So someone takes offense to this when it is not about them and has nothing to do with them? Grow up. If that offends you then ask Ubisoft to make another Assassin's Creed game made from all of the suggestions and wants of the offended. I'd welcome that because it would NEVER get made.

    Assassin's Creed The Offended.

Offend person #1 is offended at the fact that you changed the swords into styrofoam swords (suggested by offended person #562) that make a giggling noise when it strikes (Sorry, when it gently caresses their skin) them. Offended person #1 is offended (wow, that's a surprise) by that. Offended person #1 wants pillows to be used as weapons and the pillows will shoot out cute little smiley faces with hearts for eyes but ONLY after you inform the NPC you're going to start a pillow fight. ( You don't want to offend the NPC) Let's not forget Offended person #1808 who was offended at the fact the characters had paint and dirt on them. They need to have a "Stay clean mode" in the game and give them real clothes like pants, shirts maybe some NIKE shoes and oh, oh yeah make it so some of the men can have modern hairstyles as I'm sure all of the characters in the game would thank you for it.

If you get offended by something that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU then the problem isn't in a game. Ubisoft, you caved. You cower and take a knee and apologize for something you shouldn't have to apologize for. There was no harm or intent pointed at any actual living being. Ubisoft, you just let the offended kick open your door and dictate what they want. People, if you find the game offensive then stop playing it. Request your money back because you find it offensive. You've already opened the Offensive Door and been allowed in so I'm sure Ubisoft will gladly reimburse your purchase price.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
