I've never liked 'fast travel', it always felt cheap, so if i can navigate the world properly I will.

I'm really enjoying Valhalla for allowing you to sail (and ride) where you need to go, with a pretty cinematic (and song) on boats.

Do you skip the 'fast travel' option? 😊

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Traversal in this game is a slog so I use fast travel whenever I can although the loading screen on ps4 is ridiculous.

It depends, if I just quickly want to grab something, or finish a quest, then I use fast travel. When I want to relax, then there is nothing better than enjoying the environment while listening to some sea shanties 😊 .

I might opt to fast travel if an objective is very far away or if I'm off to collect wealth / complete a world event, but generally I ride my horse or sail everywhere possible, as I really enjoy looking at the scenery and taking it all in! Especially if auto-navigating, it can be very relaxing as well, as you can just sit back and enjoy. 🙂

In 'Odyssey' I used fast travel in my first playthrough and after that chose not to use it again. I so fell in love with the scenary and was able to experience the setting so much more deeply when I chose not to use that option.

I will probably do so in subsequent playthroughs of this game, too, but on my first playthrough I'm eager to get to the content, visit the POIs, upgrade my camp, etc. I'll feel more comfortable taking my time in Game+.
