Unsolved Vinland Quest done - but Vinland Weapons and Vinland Gear disappeared after traveling back!5 Likes/46 Replies/21136 ViewsUbisoft Support Staff Ubi-MrM 3694 posts
I would like to sincerely apologise for the lack of recent reply to this thread. I'm hoping that the information I'm going to provide below will answer most, if not all, of the questions posed here since my colleague @Ubi-Swaggins' last response!
So, with regard to being unable to take your gear to Vinland - this is intended behaviour. As @RJEB94 mentioned in their post, Randvi warns you before you leave England that spoiler. You therefore leave all of your gear behind in England, and build up a separate inventory in Vinland.
When returning to England, you'll be reunited with all of your gear, with the exception of the gear and resources earned in Vinland itself. You can however use the blacksmith to map the appearance of the Vinland gear onto another piece of gear in England if you would like, as mentioned by @Ghort61!
If all of you would like me to pass forward the feedback that you would like the option to bring your inventory from England to Vinland in the post-game, or else the resources from Vinland back to England after the region is completed, I'm happy to do so. Please just let me know by replying to me here in this thread and I can pass forward any comments you'd like me to!

If you have returned to England from Vinland and found any previously acquired gear missing, including any purchased gear from the Animus Store, please do let us know about this and provide screenshots as evidence of your purchase and the gear not being available in your inventory where possible. It would also be helpful if you could let us know roughly when the gear went missing, and if you noticed any unusual behaviour before it happened.
Finally, a couple of requests from me on the side of moderation -
- Please do adhere to our forum rules when posting, particularly with regard to the use of offensive language. I have issued warnings to several players in this thread already for this - I'd prefer to not have to give out any more!
- Avoid bumping threads / multiposting where possible. You can tag multiple players just by typing the @ symbol and then starting to type their username. By default, if you type the @ symbol, the players who have replied to the thread will appear as a list, so this can make it easier to find the player you're looking for!

As a native Indian myself, I find Ubisoft very offensive for not resolving this issue

@ubi-woofer I find it very offensive that the only native Indian (Vinland) gear is not fixed yet. I’m of native Indian heritage. When will this bug be resolved? It’s been a year

Hey there @IceKingof74 - thank you for your reply.
Could you please clarify for me the "bug" that you are referring to, with reference to the Vinland gear?
If that the gear is not available to you when returning to England, please be advised that this is intended behaviour and is not a bug. If you'd like to see the gear made available in other in-game countries, I'd recommend updating this feedback thread posted by @TheNorfolkian in the General Discussion area, as this can then be forwarded by our Community Team for consideration by the developers.
If this is not what you are referring to, please let me know, and I'll happily look further into the issue with you. Thanks!

@Ubi-Woofer I've just got to this point in the game after 60 hours grafting. The game starts so slowly when you're underpowered, but I told myself to stick with it, and now I've got a decent set of weapons and armour and it's fun going around causing mayhem.
Not anymore! Back to square one getting mauled to death in two hits by bears. This is such a slap in the face and I'm questioning if I even want to bother finishing the game now, between this and the stupid flying paper challenges I'm never going to 100% it so whats the point? Totally lost any attachment I had to the character because of some stupid rules imposed via a narrative arc that doesn't even make sense.
I've just cleaned out an entire country, overthrown several kings and hunted down supposedly "fearsome" zealots on my own. But raiding Gorm's camp? Unthinkable!
I've spent the last week in real life looking forward to finally getting the satisfaction of seeing Eivor put her dad's axe through Gorm's head but nope, now I have to use some random weapons that have to be traded for ore, which incidentally is a resource that I have thousands of at home but apparently even that is too offensive to take on the ship. It makes literally no sense. It makes even LESS sense than the badly tacked on Animus story, and that is really saying something.
I was enjoying this game so much and now it just feels like a complete waste of time. If I knew it was possible to bring stuff back and forward between Vinland and England that wouldn't be too bad, but grinding out the entire island to kill one boss who you would completely annihilate under any circumstances, and then losing all the stuff you've picked up on the way is just a giant steaming turd.

For anyone else annoyed with this meaningless interruption. Just set all the difficulties to easy, kill everyone and get off the island as quick as you can. Gorm goes down in 5-6 flaming arrows. What a waste of an hour lol
