I had already come across Eyvind before reaching the Sjaleng outpost and completed his sleepwalking sequence.
Once in Sjaleng the guard tell me to look for the deserter, Eyvind, so I go back to his camp but he's not there anymore and can't complete the event.
I looked everywhere around the area, over the zip-line, on the road to the Sjaleng outpost but nothing.
    I think it's a bug and I can't really can't complete the event, I guess it's a Rygjafylke's mystery too.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

I am facing the same issue as the OP. I hope this is not a reoccurring issue with world events as I tend to explore areas thoroughly prior to taking on side missions/world events. Hopefully this can get patched without having to redo the sequence.

I just started playing a few days ago on PS5, I happened across Eyving on the way to Valka's Hut and went through his sequence. After visiting the Hut, I went to Sjaleng Lookout and Eyvind is nowhere to be found. Don't know what reward or anything I Will miss because of it.

@vykyng666 Hey there! Would you be able to share a video clip of the behavior you are seeing during this world quest so I can provide it for the game team to review?

    @ubi-smash
Eyvind would go to the camp and hope on the horse by the gate and stayed thereundefined

Thank you for providing this image SilentWolf1121! I have a few questions for you, and anyone else is experiencing this issue of not being able to find Eyvind:

    • If you have not already stated, what platform are you playing on? Please be specific, such as PS4 instead of PlayStation.
    • Has The Dreamwalking Warrior Quest already been completed? Or is this The Dreamwalking Warrior Quest the one that you are unable to complete?
    • Have you tried reverting to a previous save where you have not encountered Eyvind before reaching Sjaleng? If not able, that is quite alright, just thought I would ask.

@ubikobold I'm currently playing on PC.

And I've got the same issue as the others. I met up with Eivind along the trail before going to the lookout. I watched him walk towards the roperide and followed over to talk to him on the other side, dus completing the encounter where you give him advice. I then went to the lookout and talked to the lady asking for his return. At which point I couldn't follow up with her, nor can I find Eivind at his original location anymore as the encounter is completed.

As the others have stated, there is no follow up conversation at this point with the camp leader at the lookout, and Eivind is simply sitting on his horse at the camp. At this point I do not want to reload the save as I did quite some scavenging between the encounter with Eivind and going to the lookout. It should be as simple as adding a codeline for If: Eivind encounter complete = Enabling the secondary part of the conversation with the camp leader.

Let me know if you require some more information, but this should really be an easy fix for you guys.

@zaphityr I'm so sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but thank you for providing this detailed walkthrough of how this has occurred. I have forwarded everyone's provided information to the Game team. If more info is requested, or if I receive any updates I will be sure to post here. Thanks so much for your continued patience, and if you have any more to add please let me know and I will be sure to forward that up as well!

Also, if anyone else experiences this issue with Eyvind please provide your platform below so that I may add your information to the investigation.

Good day everyone! Thanks for all of your patience. I have heard back from the Game team with the following information. In short, this is not a defect in-game and is working as intended.

Speaking with the guard at Sjaleng Outpost is not a quest or part of the "Eyvind Sleepwalker World Event." It is dialogue that points Eivor in the direction of the world event. It is intended that no follow up dialogue occurs with the guard and Eyvind should appear in the camp on a horse or just standing around. If you finished the world event and Eyvind is not present in the camp, reloading the save or restarting the game should make him appear, but already at this point the world event is completed. There is no extra reward or Artifact related to travelling back to Sjaleng Outpost after the "Eyvind Sleepwalker World Event."

However, let me know if any of you have any further questions or concerns.
