It looks like Valhalla is using this weird cheating mechanism where if you release the control (LMB in my case) and shoot an arrow when aiming at an enemy, your arrow will hit them even if they move away from its path. Homing arrows! I can see why this would be useful for gamepads (

), but why is this a thing even when aiming assist is turned off? Combined with how (unlike previous games) enemies can't for the life of them figure out where you're shooting their friends from, this makes sniping extremely overpowered. You can just find a spot and shoot everyone with enemies being completely unable to look up and find you unless you hit and wound them.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

I haven't noticed this at all. In fact the aim feature in Valhalla is horrible even when set to Full. It does not track the enemy at all when aiming, and the controls seem to turn to mush once you hold in the left trigger to aim.

That is a different issue entirely. Perhaps, not less important than the one I described, but because I don't play with a controller, I never encountered it. Must be frustrating. But for me the problem lies with homing arrows that course-correct to hit a moving enemy even if the player did not anticipate this.
