One of my Jomsvikings has a circle over his head. It has a symbol in it. What is that?
The symbol looks like <l this and it can be seen from everywhere in the game, even miles from the guy.undefinedundefined

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Are you trying to tell us you can't read runes? Who in 2020 doesn't know how to read nord runic alphabets from the 2nd century? Seriously, come on people.

@ebonzone This is a bug. That should only be visible to maybe 20m. Its bad enough having this on the screen trying to spot keys through the graphics on PC.

@j_roesler i had that same issue, restarting the game did not get rid of it for me, what did tho was dismissing that particular jomsviking.

@torfinr Thurisaz in Elder/Younger Futhark, Thorn in Anglo-Saxon...

    No.
I dont care of proto-germanic so called Elder futhark and of Anglo-saxon runes neither, it's THURS in Scandinavian Futhark (meaning a giant in old norse)

Does it mean anything? Is there anything special about that jomsviking?

@merckk If it would have had the correct orientation, it would have been the rune of Thor (or giants), or the sound "Th". But as it is it means nothing no 😲

@torfinr seems weird that only some of them have this rune over them.

@merckk I think so, it appears to be some sort of special ability that they use during raids, if you pay attention you'll see that it counts down or up during a raid.
I've also seen it only on player created jomsvikingr that you recruit...

@torfinr @torfinr My bad, you're correct, considering what time period the game is set in, Younger Futhark/Scandinavian runes is the correct alphabet. And so is Thurs instead of Thurizdan 😃

@j_roesler if you find one of these icons load into a different town that has jomsvikings for hire and it will be a different viking. From what I can tell only one viking for hire will be loaded in your world, each time you approach a hire location different from the last one you visited, it loads a new viking. You can go far enough away and fast travel back and it can load a new one also. Hope this helps, I do this every time I see that icon and it always works 100% if it's on your crew, replace it. It is possible to get unlucky and load a hire location that has another icon, if so load a new town.
