    Hi,

So after I finished the Cent story arc I had a letter waiting in the letter box in my settlement.
I read it but don't remember the content. I then rested in bed (as was required by the mission) and when I woke up another letter was in the box (a different one , something from bishop Deorlaf).
It seems that in both letters the NPC was expecting to see me at their location.
However I don't remember the content of these letters and they are not in my inventory. I don't have new quests from them either.

Is it normal ? Is there any way to re read the letters in order to know what to do/where to go ?
Or was it only for lore but nothing is supposed to happen if I meet these NPCs?

    Thanks

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@alvinleetya was there ever a fix for this? Or did you get it answered? I know this is quite old but just wanted to say that in my experience playing the game i was never EVER able to re read any letters from the letter box unless they specifically went into my inventory but I have never had a letter do that from the letter box. Only times it went in my inventory is when i get a new quest in my quest list along with that letter. You can try looking for that letter on the Wiki. You may have already found a fix for this since this post is several months old so sorry if i am late.

Letters disappear when read, which is a bit annoying for the reason you write. Worse, if they're read in the wrong order then unread letters also vanish - annoying when it comes to the axe. Ubisoft are aware of the latter problem though I do not know if anything was done. There are some mildly interesting post-quest events that occur at the various locations. I am unsure if I have done all of them, again for the sort of reason you write, but I did one in London and one or two others.

@spirantcrayon22 I never made it that far in my game yet. I am playing on xbox One so hopefully I don't have that same problem. As soon as I built a couple Ravensthorpe buildings i went straight for ireland because in a roleplay aspect i wanted ravensthorpe to have access to a trading network. Was just trying to put my input and ideas in but hopefully you get your problem sorted out soon

@ubi-wheelyduck In fact this "allow letters to be re-read" suggestion was made MONTHS ago. Multiple users here wondered why the game could not do what AC Unity did - Arno could ready all of Elise's letters end-game.

And the fact that there are users suggesting it again just shows that, well, it has fallen onto the developing team's deaf ear, all this time.
