    I have not option to upgrade AC Valhalla on my PlayStation 5, I put in the disc and it asks me either to copy or on the right hand side of the screen asks me to buy the ps5 version for £59.99 off the psn store please advise, I'm not the only person with the issue several of my friends have the same and many more on social media I'm from the UK

    Hello there!

    I apologise for the delayed update. As mentioned by my colleague @Ubi-Raziel, this issue should now be resolved.

    If you are still having trouble upgrading your copy of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla from PS4 to PS5, please ensure that you have completed all of these steps first, as these steps will guide you through how to upgrade eligible games.

    If you're still unable to upgrade your game, I would recommend opening a support ticket so our team can take a closer look at this for you. You can open a support ticket in the following ways:

    When opening a support ticket, please include the following information:

    • Your country of residence
    • The country your PSN account is registered to
    • If you own the physical version of the game, please include images of the front/spine/back of your game box. The best way to do this is to open the game box, lie it flat and then take a clear photo.
    • If you own the digital version of the game, please include a full-screen image of your proof of purchase, as displayed on your console.

    @gromulus85 - If you've still been unable to upgrade your PS4 version of the game to PS5, please can you ensure that you have followed all of the steps listed above? Otherwise, please can you open a support ticket so our team can take a closer look.

    @bluestape - It sounds like you may have encountered a region lock issue, as your account is set to a different region to where the game was purchased from. I would recommend contacting PlayStation support for further assistance.

    I have the exact same issue. Only the PS4 version is available when the disc is inserted and the option to download the PS5 version wants me to buy the game.

    What is Ubisoft up to with this one? Was the "free upgrade" text on my game case just put there for fun?

    @asswh00p When you say you've set up an account with a Turkish address, what exactly do you mean? A Turkish e-mail address of some sort? I've only ever set up the one PS account years ago using my UK email address. If you could post a step by step guide to this workround I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

    @fuzzball909 on your PS5 when you set up a new account, one of the first things it asks is your location and language. Put location as Turkey. A later step will also ask for your address, I still used my UK address and that worked out fine for me

    We shouldn't have to set up account under other countries to play a game that we were told was a free upgrade... Is even printed on the front of the box

    @cartman_uk99 exactly this is pathetic, it might work but i have the uk season pass too, this is on Ubi to fix the obvious issue that persists here, not us to make accounts in different countries just to play a game ive paid £60.00 for.

    @moladinho1 Worked great thank you. Season pass info has carried over too as the Legend of Beowulf mission is available for me as well.

    Same here, cant upgrade my ps4 to ps5
    When rhe disc in the console the I got only the ps4 version
    Hope they will fix it up soon

    Been unable to upgrade my copy of the game on my PS5 from my PS4 disc copy. Live chat support said is a known issue but cannot find any information on the forum. Any ideas when this will be available? Or what the fix is?

    @ubi-raziel if you need a test user to assist with this I would be willing to assist, I have a UK PS5 and the PS4 version of the game was purchased from a UK company.
