Hello, I played the game for a few days without ANY problem, but for the past week I have had random freeze and Ihave to kill the game process.

The sound continues but the image is frozen

It's really frustrating not being able to enjoy the game anymore ...

What I tried :

• Disabled overlay
• Run the game in admin mode
• reinstall UpIay
• reinstal ACV
• reinstall of GPU drivers with DDU
• removed OC
• format of windows

After I formatted my pc and was able to play for several hours without a problem but it happened again at some point.

9900k RTX 3090
32 GB of DDR4 memory. trident Z 3466
Seasonic Prime Ultra 1000


A solution for this? Is it a problem with the game or with my pc?

@asryan2a Many people have the same issue. It looks like it's driver related and therefore it can only be fixed with a driver update. I get a lot of errors coming from AMD that a driver takes to long to perform a task, no idea what that means.

Hopefully they (Ubi or/and AMD/Nvidia) can fix it soon, cause this game is too awesome. Would be awesome to play it without crashing/freezing asap

@asryan2a Have been getting semi-consistent freezes, with the LiveKernelEvent 141, for a few weeks now.

even here and still continues even after today's update 11/26/2020. I've done everything and I always have random freezes. I have a rtx 3070, ryzen 7 3700x processor, 16 gb ram.

it is bad to play without knowing how far it will run without freezing the game, it can take 15 minutes like 1 hour, but it always freezes sometimes it doesn't even last 1 minute I open the game it already freezes.

waiting for a new NVIDIA driver.

If you google for "AMD driver timeout valhalla" you'll see it's systemic and "across the board" for a significant amount of players. Ubi is not acknowledging the issue despite multiple tickets.

I have this issue as well, ever since the 1.0.4 update was applied. Played 100+ hours before that with no crashed whatsoever. Now i can't play for more than 1-2 minutes and usually can't get past the foggy water load screen

I just got exactly the same crash in Watch Dogs Legion, seems it"s Ubisoft related...

I have all the time in the world today, as I was hoping to be playing Valhalla. I'll just bump this thread instead since I can't play the game.

Across Reddit, here, AMD and nVidia's own forums, this is an issue that appears to affect ALL customers and Ubi hasn't added it to the known issues list. Game is unplayable for many people until this is resolved. 1.04 has made it worse and Ubi is not acknowledging it.

Keeping this post high as Ubi is intentionally ignoring this issue, it does not show up on the megathread and affects the most users. This needs more visibility until its acknowledged, clearly there are many users affected given HOW MANY threads there are about it!

Bumping as it sure is disappointing that the issue still isn't acknowledged. Way I see it there's three choices, ban me, acknowledge the issue, or pretend it's not the most severe issue impacting the game and I'll just keep bumping these threads.

As of this post, this issue is still not acknowledged or declared as being investigated by Ubi Support. This is their number one issue on the PC platform based on the number of threads here and across the internet at large relating to Valhalla gameplay on PC.

I've got all day, I could've been playing Valhalla but the frequent crashes make the game unplayable, so I'll bump these threads.

Issue tracker: I see you can't find this one particular item, we're right on it and investigating it immediately! Meanwhile, here's a workaround.
