I can't talk with the NPC, so he don't walk to camp.
The three points don't appear over NPC head.

This happened before with 1.0.2 and still now with 1.0.4.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@sinar_bcn Hello there! Sorry to hear this is happening when trying to complete A Skald's Lament. Could you perhaps provide us with a clip of the issue occurring after having completed some troubleshooting steps for your platform?

Same problem for me with this world event except my NPC is sat in the bandit camp moaning about being tired but I can't pick him up to carry him back to his wife. Is there a fix yet?

If I remember well, the first time I went to this quest I just came from defeat all guards in the camp, and I could talk with the NPC, but it didn't do anything. And after this, I couldn't talk with him again.

@aumriff1969 Has a solution been discovered? I’m having this same issue. I return to the area every few days and it does the same thing every time.

@finerlightning @ubiwan Not yet. I've just updated to 2.0 (1.1.0 inside game) and the bug persists. I can't talk with NPC.

So I found this after having the same issue myself,it worked for me and I feel ridiculous after discovering the root of my problem, the NPC lay down near some of the bandits we fought, and I had picked up one of them by accident instead,I have since gone back and found the actual NPC and was able to proceed as normal, totally embarrassing but I'm hoping it's this simple for you.at worst you'll at least get a good laugh at how ridiculous I am

@gochi7 Thank you, but this isn't my problem. The NPC is in the original location and I can't talk to him, so he don't go to camp.

This is the last quest I need to complete to get the Platinum Trophy. So I hope development team can fix it.

Perhaps an "universal" solution is to add an option to reset the non-completed quests. It would be very useful also to non-bugged ones, due in several quests it is necessary to follow a NPC and if the gamer don't do for any reason, then it is very difficult to know where it is.

I recovered a very early savegame and I could complete the quest without problem, so I don't know when it bugged. From this save game, I tried to reproduce the error without success.

    Merry xmas!

Even after patch 1.1.2 the error is not fixed, how long do we have to wait for the fix? Meanwhile 3 months have passed 😞

I found if you run ahead and kill everyone the glitch is bypassed, just done it this minute

This just happened to me right now, I reloaded an autosave, turned the game on and off and still no luck, the fella was just knelt down moaning.
Anywho I left it for a bit ( 5mins ) I did some fast travelling a couple of times, got a wealth and then I decided to go back and have another looksee .... the guy had vanished from the camp so I went back to where the mystery started and it had reset?!
Thankfully I was able to complete it this time.

So fast travel a few times, do something else for a bit and then go back.. hopefully fingers crossed that sorts it for yous.
    Hope this helps x
