Does anyone know the spawn locations of Black Bears and Dogs? I'm having the hardest [censored] time getting pelts/teeth.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@fylkirpanzer Aren't black bears in a land far far away? 🙂 Or were those the brown ones?

@souldrinkerlp Vinland? Yeah I found two, but they never drop pelts, just leather.

@fylkirpanzer Hm, then I don't know 😕 Maybe try killing more? I think there is only a chance for them to drop the pelt. And yea, I mean Vinland but wanted to say it in a non spoilerish way 😉

@souldrinkerlp I don't think you can get animal parts in Vinland, just leather. I've killed tons of animals but never saw them drop their parts like claws, etc.

2 dogs spawn in Rouecistre Blockade in Cent.

1-2 black bears spawn along the west bank of the Brant River, north of Ledecestre.

I'm sure there are other locations, but so far no one has found them/ posted them.

As to Vinland, none of the materials carry back over to England.

@otg_gilamunsta Yeah I did a bit of reading and found the dogs and bears in those locations; but their drop rates are absolutely terrible. I suppose I can take a break from it anyway. Hunting and fishing is really all I have left to do in the game, aside from all the little resource chests, and two offering altars which require fish.

@otg_gilamunsta There are another 3 rottweilers in Cent. If you go to the fast travel point 'Saint Hadrian's Priory' (or Abbey). Exactly 400 metres away, in a roughly NorthWest direction. There's an 'L' shaped building, with 2 barred doors. There are 2 guard dogs insidem it's easy to get in through the apex in the roof, there's 2 or 3 of those breakable wicker panels. There's a 3rd dog next door in a building without a door, so be ready, cos, as you walk around, it will spot you. They're easy enough to take down, but it's probably how you kill them that depends on whether they drop teeth. The last time I was there, I only got 1 tooth from the 3 dogs.
