Yesterday I was doing a quest called Contract: Recovery Investment, which I grabbed from one of Reda's kids.
These quests typically are only available for a period of time and disappear if you don't complete them in time.
This quest told me to rescue an NPC and lead it to safety. I went to rescue the NPC and then the quest expired before I could lead it to safety.
My problem is this: The quest is still in my log showing up as expired, and the old lady I rescued is following me around.
This persists through restarting the game and fast travelling.
Is there any way to abandon a quest from your log?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Hello there @PeeweesMainVein! Welcome to the forums 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered trouble when rescuing a civilian during one of Reda's quests. Can you let us know what troubleshooting steps you have already tried? If you haven't already, I would suggest trying the following:

    • Accepting a new quest from Reda
    • Reloading your most recent save file
    • Fast-travelling to another country (such as Norway or Vinland) then returning to England

If the issue still persists, could you please send us a video that shows the following:

    • The expired quest in your quest log
    • The NPC that won't stop following you once you have left the restricted area the rescue took place in

We can then pass this along to the development team for further investigation.

    Thanks! 😊
