Can we get an option to disable the "intrusive" detection sound and screen animation. While you are moving about or riding with your horse, its goes on and off way to much and is getting annoying at times. It doesn't help also that this is very loud compared to other sounds in the game.

For someone who plays without the HUD, this is very immersion breaking and gets your startled more often than not.

If you have wolves nearby or some birds you get constant spamming of "wooosh, .. wooosh, .. wooosh" in your ear while the screen is getting blurry every time.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

Yeah, I feel this. I prefer minimal/no HUD gameplay as well, as I prefer more immersive and less cluttered experiences in my games. I believe there are certain HUD settings you can disable to at least get rid of visual detection effects, but the sounds associated with that are another story. It gets pretty annoying hearing those "being detected" and "leaving combat" sounds over and over again. We already have music that stops playing and a weapon-holstering animation for when you leave combat, so I'd prefer not to have those intrusive sounds on top of that.

I've been asking on this forum to disable other HUD-related things as well, such as those OBNOXIOUS mid-screen messages that say things like "Ammo is full," "Rations are full," "The door is barred from the other side," "Find the key to unlock this door," and so on. Let me disable those, guys! I don't need to see those!
