So during A Brewing Storm my horse spawned inside the fighting circle. Perhaps it was "parked" at that spot when I entered the longhouse before the nap on the bed. Unfortunately I haven't taken a picture of this but it was really there. It got in the way during the fight so unfortunately it got killed and now the corpse is forever stuck outside the longhouse. It did change skin after I changed my mount btw.

Also since this fight the tattoo lady, Tove, is not inside her shop anymore. She stands between the straw puppets at the assassin's bureau. Please see below

Given the fact that this mission causes other glitches/bugs as well I do believe it caused mine as well. Would really love to get my settlement normal again. Adding a new building didn't solve it. I can still upgrade from level 5 to 6 so maybe that'll solve it but if an update could fix it I'll take that as well of course ^^

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

One addition: I was able to shoot Tove back into her hut again with arrows but she doesn't resume "work". She just stands still where I've put her with my arrows

@bloodyvampie so another update. After the mission where

    spoiler

Tove joined the feast and she was back to "normal" again. The corpse is still outside. Killing my horse just on top of it only removes that corpse after sleeping or fast travelling. Seems like the horse is now coded into the settlement or something.

Would be nice if this could be passed along to the devs. NPC also sometimes see the corpse and go to a "cautious" state - looking in the bushes, climbing the longhouse etc. - looking for an enemy... very annoying

So the Yune festival settlement update unfortunately didn't fix my dead horse carcass. Still there, please solve it 🙂

Just need a "reset" of the settlement...

I'm having a similar issue. In my case I accidentally killed a horse in the Campsite stable and the corpse just stands there forever. The good new is that the copse moves a few meters with every update so maybe I'll stop seeing him in the future.

@kaostwo666 so is your corpse still there? Mine is... would be great if it could be removed still

Hello @bloodyvampie, thank you for bringing this long standing issue to our attention and my apologies we did not pick up on this sooner.

When you say you can make the original horse corpse disappear, using your workaround of slaying another on top of it, after sleep does this make both horse corpses disappear in game for you, as you would expect?

Can I also ask if you can upload your affected save file to the cloud, so that we may investigate this on your playthrough?

@ubi-milky I also have a dead horse in my settlement, and unfortunately it stays dead (although it moved from original place it was killed).

Hey @bielik01 thanks for letting me know this has affected you too.

In what settlement does this happen for you and which exact location (near any particular buildings?), so that I may open an investigation into this?

Do you also have your affected game save with the horse corpse, currently uploaded to the cloud for our QA team to access??

@ubi-milky at stables in Ravensthorpe. Yeah, my save is in the cloud.

Thanks for the information friend, I will get this reported to the team now, your horse looks to be having a really bad time.

@ubi-milky Thanks for picking this one up! I cannot make that corpse disappear unfortunately. When slaying another horse on top of it, only the "fresh kill" disappears after sleep or fast travel.

The original corpse is still there, although it moves around a bit and also changes skin every now and then 😜

My save is in the cloud so you can investigate

    @bloodyvampie You're welcome and thanks 🙂

@bielik01 Can you confirm how your horse was killed in the settlement and which location it was originally killed?

@ubi-keo in my case it was at the stables, just next to it, by melee attack
then the horse moved to the final location after few fast travels to the settlement

@bielik01 Thanks for the update. Did you kill it yourself with a melee attack or did an enemy kill it? And can you remember how long ago this was?

@ubi-keo I did it myself, but don't remember how long ago it was

The horse is still dead in my settlement. And it moved again 🤣
It's different from the last one, but I didn't kill any more of them, so the game remembers one of horses is dead and the horse's corpse seems to differ and in a different place, but nearby to where it was killed.
