    @virtualcara Well its almost february and they still didnt fix this bug as like so many others but your idea worked for me. I carefully crouched to Stout (or whats his name) and cutscene started smoothly

    I apologies for the delayed update. Thank you for taking the time to continue updating this thread with your experiences of this issue. I'm sorry to hear that this issue still persists for some of you.

    This development team has re-opened this investigation following reports that the issue persisted following TU 1.1.1. If you are still unable to enter Lunden when beginning "Walls and Shadows," please can you update this thread with which platform you use (PC/PS/Xbox), as well as a video that shows the issue persists on TU 1.1.1.

    Additionally, the development team are interested in collecting the save files of affected players. If you play on PC/PS4, please can you open a support ticket: (https://support.ubisoft.com/Cases/New) and submit your save for investigation: (https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Article/000080981/Submitting-save-files-for-investigation/). Once you have done this, please share your ticket number within the thread so we can ensure that the data is passed on. Thanks!

    Please note that several workarounds have been suggested by players within this thread, so I would recommend taking a look at earlier posts. You can take a look at this '>

    , which show you steps on how to avoid encountering this issue in-game. We have also had reports that deactivating the quest and walking up to where the marker was can trigger the cutscene that starts "Walls and Shadows."

If possible, would you be able to open a support ticket and upload your save file for further investigation?     The question of compensation isn’t as a hope they do something out of the goodness of their heart, it’s more an expectation as a result of releasing a broken game.
    Again, if I bought a car and it couldn’t proceed beyond 20mph/kmph... do you think that would be ok?
    I don’t think it’s fair to compare it to THAT other game but if the game itself blocks multiple owners from progressing then I would still argue that it’s a broken game therefore does not and can not fulfil its intended use.

    A fix on Xbox One.

    Yo. I was stuck on this until it was the last available mission for me. Ubisoft support offered no help or even any type of in game money or credits for the issue. So that sucked. I first brought it up over a month ago. GTA and rockstar has given me in game money and I have appreciated that for issues in their end.

    But anywayssss. I found a way past it. On Xbox one, disconnect from the internet then start the mission. The cutscene starts finally and then you're asked to get back online. Once you connect back on the cutscene resumes and you can FINALLY play.

    I can confirm that I still have the freeze bug when starting walls and shadows at the gate under v1.1.1
    Stowe is present, it does the long load sequence and then comes back with character frozen in place.
    This is on xbox one.
    I will not be sending a video but you can have a copy of the save file if you supply instructions.

    O mesmo problema de todos. Ao chegar na entrada do muro, onde deveria carregar alguma cena, aparece a tela de carregamento preta com o logo verde, quando volta para o jogo, só funciona a camera de visão, e o menu para sair para tela principal. não há nenhum problema com o PS 4, para ter que recriar novamente o banco de dados. Problema exclusivo do software do jogo.
    Aguardo um posiçao da empresa.

    Hi. I am having the same problem everyone else is having. Try to enter lunden and the game starts to load but just locks up my player. I came at it from every way I could. I reloaded a save i did 20 hours before and replayed it. Still the same thing. I see that this problem has been going on from the start. The links that we are given go nowhere and I can't find a way of the instructions on how to defrag the game. Is there any real up date on fixing this. Please let us know something. Thank you.

At this moment in time, we have no information to share regarding compensation, but if this is to be offered to players then you should receive a notification.     I will paste in what I sent in my email to ubisoft.

    Hello! I think I figured out the cause of the problem to the bug players have recorded/reported we encounter in the quest walls and shadows.

    The problem is most likely that the prompt of the cutscene the player is supposed to activate only works from one side of the gate.

    What I found out is that when I encountered the problem I was already inside the city and headed fro the quest icon from inside of the city. When I entered the gate a black loading screen appeared and I was stuck. I looked on my map and tried climbing over the wall and take the (correct) approach from outside the city walls. It all worked by approaching from the outside.

    My theory is that it is a problem with the code. The problem is that the game is programed to prompt the cutscene when the player is approaching from the outside and that works just fine because the game is programed such that this approach triggers a cutscene which is directing the players inside the city. When the player then suddenly approaches from the inside the game gets confused as to why you are already there because the cutscene is supposed to direct you inside the city from the cutscene. This then "crashes" the game and you can not proceed.

    Hope to hear from you soon because I think the solution is a fault in coding of the program where it does not allow to trigger the cutscene correctly from the "wrong" approach.

    Hey support, we are aware that you are not in a position to compensate users directly for a defective product you are evidently not able to fix either since the release in November 2020(!!!) but that's beside the point and you bloody well know that. Your job is to escalate all these cases to the team which actually can reimburse the affected users. I have already been in contact with support, uploaded my save file and have yet to hear from them which I seriously doubt will ever happen. I'm so friggin disgusted, seeing how the shop works perfectly, selling all kinds of crap to users on top of the price that has already been paid for a game that is just a broken mess. I'm completely stuck within the Walls and Shadows quest since months now, have wasted hours with all suggestions to walk around the problem, but no luck, feeling royally shafted by Ubisoft and it's crap game development.
    I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!

    I had this issue myself yesterday. I approached the cutscene area from both the north and the south to see if it made any difference but it bugged out and froze exactly how it’s explained in this thread.
    Although, I got it to work by climbing up one of the two towers next to the quest marker (hard to miss) and walking along the platform joining the towers together until I was directly above the quest marker. You then jump down onto the ground from there and the cutscene should start.
    Someone else in the thread already mentioned this method but it worked for me so it’s worth a try

    It is February 11 2021 on PS4 platform and I still am getting stuck with no cutscene. Means I can’t move forward with the game... PLEASE HELP!!

    Ubisoft please don’t abandon this glitch...

    I'm unable to carry on with the game as I can't trigger the cut scene.
    Was hoping that the new patch would fix this but alas not the game is broken and should not have been released in this way when you can't even play half of it.
    Very disappointed not that the people at Unisoft will care as they already have my money in there back pocket.

    Finally got it to work about an hour of trial and error.
    Don't Go through the gate climb on top and walk around till you see the marker then climb down the tower
    Not sure if this was just dumb luck but it worked

    @shyam3010 this has just worked for me though didn't jump off I climbed down the tower and that worked
