When I launch the game, AC logo splash pops up and loads fine, then once the games "launches" it goes right into a black blank screen with no audio or mouse pick up, not anything.

I played yesterday for a few hours fine, when I came back to start it up again it did this.

I have tried various troubleshooting methods.
drivers up to date
windows up to date
restarts
reinstalls.
verify files
installed on various drives (Do not have a windows storage space setup)
other various graphical tweaks that have done nothing.

I put in a support ticket but I have yet to hear from them. Has any got any advice or tips. ANYTHING. Im soo peeved right now. >.<

I will try to explain how with my basic english. I have Ubisoft Connect in different language.

You have to add argument for launch. If you are using Ubisoft Connect you need to go to properties on AC Valhalla game bookmark. At the bottom there is field called " Argument for game launch" or something like that.

Add this line: -popupwindow and confirm.

It works for me.

Glad you managed to get into the game though!

Now considering it, I may go through different launch arguments to see if I can figure something out.

Is there no fix for it? Ive tried everything - Restarting, Reinstalling, Verifying, Creating Symbolic Links for Sound / Video on my OS Drive (As apparently that's a problem - god knows why). You spend £50.00 on a game on launch, you'd at least like to play it a couple days after launch...

I'm on a bootcamp pc and had the stuck at splash screen issue. I created a virtual disk and install the game on it and now it works.

One thing i did before this argument thing: - Go to instalation folder
- find ACValhalla.exe and go to properties
- turn off Fullscreen optimalization (or something like that, it is over Run as administator)

Maybe this combination will help.

It says: "Valhalla stop working" And this is what i get all day. I bought ult version. lol

No, safe mode did nothing for me

Had that issue earlier today. What fixed it for me was moving either the game folder or the ubisoft launcher folder, so that they were on the same drive...
Now, my only problem is the constant freezing making it unable to progress more than a few minutes.

@crazydonkey88 I did get that at one point, but that was when I was trying to link files from my alternative hard drive, as soon as I moved them back, it just got stuck at splash screen. Doesn't even crash, it just sits there. Task manager shows that it is using 0% usage on all of my hardware too, so it's just not doing anything... Even after a good 20 minutes of waiting just to be sure, still nothing.

@zeroxtrauk that's something i've been wondering that according to task manager it doesn't even try to launch just eats ram for a bit but everything else sits in 0%

@tomzu88 Yeah pretty much, and I don't understand why it does that.. the launcher has nothing left to show u, so therefore no more added pressure on usage for hardware.

Agreed, 0% usage.
Well i have this error even without creating a link from other HDD.
I will wait for tommorrow if nothing will change, refund
