    I am also having this issue. Oddly, the game ran fine last night and early this morning - the "game stops on splash screen" thing just started around 10-11am today. I talked to Ubi support and opened a ticket, but it seems like we're in the minority here.

    This really sucks. I got the game all set up, benchmarked and tuned for my play session, went to start around 11 this morning and ended up with this. I reinstalled everything to the C:\ drive with no avail. I subscribed to Ubisoft+ based on this game and I'm really let down at this point.

    @zeroxtrauk I tried this method once again and still no result. But thank you very much 🙂 I guess some of us, including me have to wait fot ubi to fix this.

    @emmaj95 One thing I entirely forgot to mention.. critically important.

    uninstall Ubisoft connect + Valhalla

    Do the fix

    Reinstall both on the same drive, I used an HDD that does NOT have windows on it.

    SO sorry to have wasted your time.

    EDIT: I was just excited to start playing the game lol

    @MrGausser I was looking everywhere and trying everything but just couldnt get it to work.
    Creating a virtual hard drive worked! Thank you so much!

    @staky000 Thats ok, I actually did uninstall beforehand (I live with a programmer who advised me to do so when I asked him what the "registry" was, haha). After deleting registry entries and finishing the fresh reinstalls I still had the same problems.

    @emmaj95 Dang, I was hoping that would be the big fix that everyone would need to get going again.

    Oh well, maybe it will work for someone else who comes across it.

    @staky000 I keep thinking how strange it is that there are so many different workarounds that people have found but none of them work for everyone. I'm no expert when it comes to stuff like this but it makes me wonder how deep-rooted this bug is to where it presents itself in so many different ways on different people's computers. Doesn't make me feel too optimistic about when they might find a way to patch it 😕

    @emmaj95 I tried this didn't work for me neither. uninstalled everything, cleared all possible entries in the registry and reinstalled... It's really sad. This was the first AC since Blackflag that i was eager to play on day1. I played Origins and Odyssey but waited for them to go on a discount, not for this one, but i guess now that ubisoft has taken our money we don't matter any more....

    @trolsopol Exact same thing lol. First launch day AC game for me. I even got the $200 collectors edition. Now just looking at the physical goodies makes me sad that I cant actually play the game 😞
