So, we forging alliances thru most of the game, everything points out that it's kinda big deal.
And at some point Randvi point out why and where exactly we need them:

    spoiler

That is when is starts to really paid off, we will meet again familiar faces that we helped before, and they gonna help us in return. Nice.

Got to say I haven't finished main story yet (really taking my time while waiting for more content) but what I experienced keep me guessing: that was it? Was it all for this?
Do I even need to continue on forging more alliances?
I mean, there are still posabilities left, and I got nothing better to do anyway, but still...

Could some of you guys who already finished the game clarify without major spoilers - will there be another point in the story when those old/new alliances play their part again as in the previously mentioned event? Somme major battle, important political meeting, something like that?
Or now its just piece of content without real (or illusion of real) outcome for the story?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@olmergrey As far as I can remember, there is one more instance of your various alliances paying off later on.
