I'm having fun with Valhalla but I think it's a pity that some features/elements present from previous games are missing. I would really love to see them making a come back.
- mercenary/wanted system: This was one of the best gameplay element from Odyssey for me. You're forced to be constantly on your toes if you break the law. Related to this is the ability to kill civilians. I think it makes much more sense for Eivor to be killing civilians compared to Alexios/Kassandra since she is a raider who has no problem burning down villages and pillage their riches, but somehow finds it unacceptable to kill the civilians? And it makes sense for the local powers to hire mercenaries/hunters/zealots or whatever to hunt you down for your raiding and pillaging.
- horse combat. This is a missing feature that really perplexes me. Did it never occur to Eivor to reach for the weapons on his/her back and swing them at the enemies while he/she's riding?? If this is removed for balance reason, then just makes it so that the player would fall from mount after being hit/struck. And even then, I think it's silly since players should be given the freedom to just rip enemies to shred on horseback if that's their preferred playstyle. It just makes no sense to me that this feature would be taken away.
- Finally, I would love to see one handed sword and two handed hammer added back to the game. Would be great if even more variety can be introduced but since those two types were in both Origins and Odyssey, I don't understand why they are missing since those weapons were used by Vikings and exist in medieval England as well.
That's it. All those are essentially requests for past features to make a return to the game. Hope a moderator could forward those feedback to the dev team. Thanks!

@unhappylawbro Maybe if the Zealots weren’t fixed figures in the Order of the Ancients, they could have been organized like the mercenary system in Odyssey, but there would have needed to be some reasoning behind the endless refill of zealots, like there is with the mercenaries. Alternatively, the Zealots would stay as they are, but instead of mercenaries, Eivor would have be be hunted down by a Constable.
In Anglo-Saxon England, a Constable oversaw a ‘Hundred’ of land. Land in this era was divided up into Hides, or one household worth of farmable land. Ten Hides made a Tithing, and ten Tithings made a Hundred. Several Hundreds made a Shire, which was overseen by a Reeve. Given the possible number of Shires in this time period, there could have been many Constables waiting to hold Eivor accountable for doing bad stuff.
