    @netspook Well I've been gaming for roughly 40 years myself and I can remember many games that have had bugs worse than Valhalla that took months for the developers to fix.

    I also stated that bug issues appear to be a hit and miss situation, never stated there was not an issue with bugs.

    "If my games broken then everyone else's game must be broken." is the mentality that you have. Not everyone is experiencing the same level of game breaking issues that you claim to be experiencing. Thus, the comment that those who have a bad experience tend to cry the loudest. Not arrogance, just fact.

    I have NEVER EVER said the game is broken for everyone else. You, on the other hand, is on a crusade which goal is to INSIST Valhalla is nowhere near a buggy state, and claim there are many games that was worse, but unsurprisingly fails to mention any. You should easily be able to produce a long list if there really are "many" that were "worse", but since it's not true, we won't see that. Personally I can only think of 3 real buggy somewhat recent releases: Fallout 76, Anthem and Mass Effect Andromeda - of these, only F76 had a few that was gamebreaking.

    And if you really need proof that there are LOTS of gamebreaking bugs in this game, check the support section. Save files gone (I had this), cannot interact with stuff meaning full stop in progression, quests won't advance no matter what, etc, etc, etc.

    You insist we who complain "cry the loudest". Of course we are loud. Personally I spent over €100 on a product that DOESN'T WORK. What the heck did you expect us to do???

    Yes, you ARE arrogant. That's the REAL fact here.

    @netspook About the only thing I think we will agree on is to disagree.

    And as for buggy games, as I stated, pretty much every major title I have bought has been buggy in the past 7 to 8 years. But to name a few that you haven't, No Man's Sky, AC Unity, Ark. Ark has been out for a couple years now and can't even be played because it crashes constantly about every 15 to 20 minutes. AC Unity was a bug filled mess that many people couldn't even play for months because they got caught in a loading loop that would stop the game from actually launching. And No Man's Sky continues to suffer from bugs on a regular basis because they keep adding and updating the game. I can also remember back in my PC gaming days having to take a disc or two back to the store for replacements because the particular copy I got didn't work.

    Your experience with Valhalla and my experience with Valhalla differ dramatically, and I am not trying to play down your issues. I am just stating that for many people the experience is not the same. Yes, a lot of people have complained about bugs that slow or stop their progress, but I can assure you there are many more who have not experienced the level of issues you state you are.

    Well you simply can't expect software of this grade of complexity to work flawlessly on launch.
    Especially if it gets developed in a reasonable time (unlike what Blizzard is doing) and actually shipped on promised date (a week early even).
    I am part of the crowd who is happy with the game and haven't encountered game breaking bugs. A handful of crashes. Bugged fishing graphics, trophies, bugged mouswheel zoom in the map, all of these fixed. Can't date the baker. Needed a few reloads because quest characters I had to follow got stuck in some place.

    People are calling things "game breaking" that really aren't. Game breaking are story hangers and the Halloween cloak issue, no more. Lucky I had none of them.
    But I admit Ubi could have been a bit more reactive on issues like that, yeah.

    Ongoing content like Yule was planned long ago, and it's rollout is totally unrelated to bug fixing.

    It's sad when people keep saying how CDPR offered refunds... when in fact they knew full well that they wouldn't be the ones offering refunds, it would be up to the retailers, and they knew exactly what their retailers refund policy is, for digital retailers, NO REFUNDS. The only thing they did was a publicity stunt, hoping that some people would fall for it- and they did. Smoke and mirrors was all it was intended to be. Yet, what they weren't expecting was for Sony to get tired of the constant requests for refunds 'because CDPR said so' and decided to offer refunds but only after they pulled the game entirely. Initially Sony was declining requests for refunds, so no, it wasn't an 'agreement' between CDPR and Sony.

    @snakeeater49910 I pre-ordered the game because Odyssey and Origins were, for me, very enjoyable. So I was playing from Day 1 and had to restart the game twice because of progression bugs. I can appreciate that some stuff will slip through the net no matter how rigorous the testing is just because of the sheer number of combinations of hardware available today. But I can't believe that some of bugs where you can't actually progress within the game weren't picked up sooner.

    I'm a middle-aged gamer (and female) so I'll give a little consideration as games have never been more complex or large as they are now. I can remember some of the games I've played which I completed in a weekend and they weren't much cheaper. I played Odyssey for around 500 hours, Origins around 300 and a little over 100 hours in on Valhalla which, touch wood, is still working and I've not hit any further issues as regards progression.

    I also don't think you're very fair lumping everyone in together - I know my fair share of older gamer's who are just as bad at trashing companies for the slightest issue as younger one's.

    @longjohn119 Ubisoft did the dame thing, cause Valhalla has more bugs and issues, for me on Xbox. SO they are both guilty. However, Cyberpunk offers a refund for the mess up. Valhalla you cant. Case in point.


    Ubisoft did not do the same thing .... They didn't lie to consumers AND investors about how the game ran ...... Ubisoft didn't withhold PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X copies of the game from reviewers and then refuse to let them post their own gameplay footage until the day of release ..... There were literally hundreds of hours of Valhalla gameplay footage on YouTube a couple of months before release .... Ubisoft didn't lie to their investors after things blew up on them either

    I'm not defending Ubisoft, Valhalla is a damned mess but what they did is not even in the same league as the lies and deception that came from the Upper Management of CDPR ..... These guys at the top are going to get run out by investors .... Investors are going to sue them, take over the company and fire 3 or 4 of the founders .... It's just a matter of time now ....

    Stick a fork in  Marcin Iwiński, Adam Kicinski, Michał Kiciński and Adam Badowski because they are DONE ....... Cyberpunk will survive but it's going to take months before it's a decent playable game and there will be a banner over the door of CDPR .... "Under New Management"

    You're welcome.
    As for putting you at your place, the others above did it pretty well. We're customers, we have the right to complain if we're not satisfied with the product we bought.
    Valhalla was released in its beta testing version, it's a total disgrace.

    Its simple, when someone codes Pong everyone wins.
    When a society of devs code the universe inside your playstation, everyone is angry and everyone loses. I get it.
    Devs promised you that you can play god, and well guess what, some times the code can't keep up.
    Since you're no god, you tell everyone you're a spoiled brat. Simple as that.
    At least when you had pong, you can literally can not be argued you paid for those tiny things called dots to be your ball, and the things you control is a small vertical line made up of 10 pixels.
    Game Over man! Keep this up and we're back to Pong because we just want to make people happy.
    Cant have everything and peaceful consumers.
    Let alone a public forum, just a bunch of anonymous losers.

    Pardon, the ignorance, what's an EE? Electronic engineer? I happen to be an OS engineer on the wrong side of 50, and I tell you, the sentiment that software needs to be held accountable to the same standards as hardware is completely misguided. And this whole "in my day" talk, that's simply not true. Also, saying all software has bugs is not really a falsehood either. You don't understand the concept because you don't code. There is no magic command or button that tells you "100% there are no bugs in your code and will never be". And given the increasing complexity of games, system usage, variety in components, etc, it is virtually impossible to QA any software to work everywhere even most of the time.

    I'm convinced that Ubisoft does not have a QA team. Half of the threads on this forum are about game breaking bugs which shows how little QA has gone into valhalla. I cannot play the game due to evior getting stuck at the alliance table and not being able to move. This particular bug was first reported over a month ago and to this day it has not be fixed. This bug has been reported by many people on this forum and ubisoft refuses to fix it.

    @alliancestuck Of course they have a QA. Problem with a game with 200+ hours of content is to test the combinations that may arise. Especially with multiple platforms on top.
    Many bugs are very rare (you can see that from the post counts, as opposed to the threads with 200-500 posts). Some are shlt happens, like doing Jorvik before Sussex, getting the Jorvik lady into a fight and then not reviving her. You can do a lot of QA without catching such issues.

    When did consumers become so complaisant to companies who release broken products? Please tell me in what other industry you're as tolerant with broken products? It's actually people like you who lower the standards. It's not a generational thing as you claim. It's _consumers_ who are slowly but steadily getting sick and tired of years and years of gaming companies releasing broken products. You're just the type of whale they're fishing for. Congratulations.

    @snakeeater49910 Game's trash. Support's trash. That's all and that's a fact. Not spoiled here but very humble. Payed the gold or whatever edition. Want my money back cause I've never played such an "uncomplete" in my entire life. Yes, ubisoft should be ashamed and specially they're support team. Many bugs to be fixed. If the game wasn't ready to be launch, they shouldn't have done it. It's been a month since I was unnayable to play because war weary bug won't let progress. Can't fast travel and now can't even go into the quest area. WAR WEARY PLS UBISOFT DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Maybe writing this once more will do the trick. I don't even want to play anymore... just my money back. Lame and really sad this situation. All respect to others AC, made my childhood. This blew it all.

    @whorphan Well, any industry sells "broken" products nowadays. Especially since customers won't pay 500€ if they can get a similar product for 20€.
    What you call "broken" is actually more like slightly glitched.

    @kormac67 I have been unable to play the game for over a month now because of major game breaking bugs. What do you suggest I do? Continue waiting? What if I run into other game breaking bugs? Should I continue to wait?

    Yes I am an electronics engineer and I work with embedded devices so yes I do know how to code and a lot of what I do is with Assembly and direct manipulation of the registers ...... The difference between you and me is I work "Close to the metal" and you are insulated from how it actually works because it is buried under 3 or more layers ..... For instance in coding a game they are 3 layers insulated from the hardware .... There is a virtualization layer, and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and then the DX, OpenGL or Vulkan API layer ......

    Yes the software should be held to the same standard as the hardware because the hardware is a helluva lot more complex than the code in a game ..... Take the A100 Nvidia GPU with over 54 BILLION transistors all working perfectly together ..... A couple of mistakes in the design and it's just a piece of worthless sand ..... Or a 4 layer PCB design for a 64 bit ARM processor .... One mistake in the layout and the company is out millions of dollars because you can't just "patch" later, it MUST be done right the first time, there are no second chances, you have to start all over again from scratch ...... One mistake and you have 100,000 PCBs in the trash can because they are worthless .....

    Frankly I'm tired of excuses from Coders .... They always have an excuse why they didn't get it right ..... And there is no incentive for them to do better because they know they can get away with it
