Alright fellow Assassins. As a person who has played every single AC game across several platorms, I must say that Valhalla is, hands down, my favorite. I like the settlement building idea (which remind me of 3) and the story arcs instead of a "main storyline" or "side missions." There are still some side missions but not like in previous games. I remember rage quitting on each game in the past but I'm almost power 150, level 5 settlement, and all but two allied territories in England and I haven't rage quit once. I find this game to be very enjoyable. I feel like it dives deeper into Eivor's character, versus the protagonists of previous games. In all honesty, I find myself getting more attached to Eivor as well (admit it, we all had that one character we ended up getting attached to.)

I'm glad the naval battles aren't included in this one. Don't get me wrong - I like doing the naval battles in previous games but it is nice sailing in the longship and not going onto open ocean but rather the narrow rivers. I prefer to take the forts by foot on land (like in Valhalla) rather than on the ocean (like previous games). It's much easier this way, to me.

I also like how the storyline can change depending on what you say or do. I also like the romance options as well and the effect that one romance in particular can have on the storyline (trying to not give away any spoilers).

I think Eivor is a character that we can all get behind, primarily because Viking heritage is far and wide due to their activities. So, we all have that little piece of Viking in our DNA that screams SKALD! when we start up this game.

This is a game that I can see myself playing for many years to come. Then again, it's AC so of course I will play it for many years to come.

    Skald!

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
