This happened few days ago, before everything was fine and now I have this weird light bug (looks pixelated and it's shimmering) mostly in longhouse but it can happen in other buildings. I really don't know why this happened and would be really happy if I could find a fix. undefinedundefinedundefined

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

i got the same bug since the latest patch, just like you and its really [censored] me off. i'm using a 3090 RTX card what cards are you using? Seems like there's a problem with volumetric lights

I don't know if this is related, but shadows on Eivor's face with he has his hood up are messed up. But, if you go into photo mode they look normal. I've confirmed this is an issue on PC as well as PS5. The issue was introduced with 1.4.0.
I'm using an RTX 3080 ti.

I just confirmed I'm have the same issue with the lighting. It's blocky and looks like [censored]. I'm checking it on PS5 now.

Ok, seems it's PC only as I don't have the issue on my PS5. This really is getting old Ubisoft. With each patch you break something. Then players are left waiting months for you to fix it, only to break something else! Do you do QA at all?

@woodyrowes i have the same problem with my amd 6700xt .
I had to put the resolution lower. I changed 2k to 1080p. And it works .

I have this same issue and looked for a fix.

The solution from Makfrois works (at least for me) but I have to change the resolution scale and not the resolution.

I was on 120% put it down to 100% and it worked (2 out of 3 times) I can't remember if I had to reload... I don't think I did).

But yeah, another bug. Hopefully the above solution works for some people who search for it.

Hi. I'm having the same issue. I'm using an RTX 3080. Please, fix it asap.

UPDATE: I also confirm that changing the resolution scale from 100% to 110% or whatever other value, applying, and setting it back to 100% stops or greatly minimizes this weird lighting bug. The light flickering/shimmering bug is immersion-breaking and may occur not only in Ravensthorpe's longhouse but in other interiors too.

@Ubi-Woofer Please, this bug needs to be acknowledged by the team, added to the official list of current game issues, and solved by releasing a hotfix soon.

    Best regards.

Also have the graphical issue shown on the pictures on this thread, and I can inform you as others have that changing the resolution from 100% to 110% and then back to 100% resolved the issue for me, no more pixelated fog/shadows inside buildings. I use a RTX 3080 and use the latest drivers as of 2022-01-09.

    Hey all,

I apologise for the delayed response to this thread. We have forwarded the information and images about what is happening and the workaround to reduce the effect of it to the dev team so they can look into this. If they need any further information, we'll get back to you on this here.

    Hello there!

I'd like to reach out to you all from an update from the investigation into this light issue. The development team are interested in collecting the system files of players who have encountered this visual issue in their games. To help us to collect these, I've now opened support tickets for @WoodyRowes, @geminixnet, @Makfrois, @Simplethumb, @RodroG-85 & @Knugenboze. You can find these by logging into the Ubisoft Help website and selecting "See All Cases" on your main homepage. You should have also received an email from me which provides you with instructions on how to collect these system files and how to upload them to your ticket.

Once you have updated your support tickets with your system files, please can you let us know within this thread? We can then ensure that they have been forwarded to the dedicated teams for a closer look.

    Thanks! 😊

@ubi-froggard Thank you. Please, work on this and release a hotfix as soon as possible. The visual glitch breaks the immersion during gameplay. The users' workaround is not a proper solution. I just submitted to you my DXDiag and MSInfo files. Regards.
