I've had this happen a few times now. I pick up both opal quests from Reda at my settlement. Then I travel and finish the first quest. The second quest disappears from my quest log without being completed... during the same login and easily before the daily reset would occur. Typically, I'll have the "green eyed thief" and a "kill the predator animals" quest. After finishing one, the other is just gone. No completion dialogue. No idea if there's a payment or XP given. I haven't travelled to find the objective or complete it. I've seen where wolves have attacked the quest objective while I've been there before (working on completing the same quest on a different day). I don't know if something else in the game is killing the objective and making it disappear for me.

The only work-around I can think of is to only pick up and complete these quests one at a time. It seems like it's happening at least a couple times per week where I'm just losing one of these quests. Being the primary source of opals in the game, this is quite frustrating. That currency is very limited and is only being generated by quests fast enough to maybe purchase 1 item from Reda on a weekly basis (20 opals from weekly quest, 5 opals x 2 quests per day x 7 days per week... or around 90 opals per week generated for perfect quest performance) (it's costing 120 opals for a single piece of gear).

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

@fireforkts Hey there. Thanks for reaching out with this, and sorry to hear it's happening. So we can have a closer look at things, could you perhaps provide us with a video showing the issue occurring? We'd greatly appreciate this, so we can forward what we can to the team!

This has all ready been (somewhat) acknowledged.

    Thread for reference - https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/91060/pc-bug-reda-s-daily-contracts-keep-disappearing/6

Since i also had a quest vanishing into thin air from Reda after picking one at a time (after i lost one previous day by accepting two at once) - i started taking them from his associates.
(Lunden the easiest i found, just FT and jump down, you land in his lap.) Then pick one, complete, come back, do the other one. Never lost a contract, but could just be luck and they (associates) may have the "bug" as well.

I'm sorry, but making videos is not one of the skills that I posses. I've laid out the steps that I've seen that created the bug. I've listed what I've seen and experienced to show that either the quest had not been finished or completed. Is there something more specific that I can provide that is possible as a simple player?
