So, I've fired up the game for the first time on my PS5, got all the brightness settings dialed in to where the test image looks fine. Started a new game, and immediately noticed the inside of the building looks washed out/too bright. Opened up the options menu, and sure enough, the test image looks washed out as well. Quit game, back to title screen and voila - test image looks correct again. Is this some glitch the devs are aware of?

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

HDR seems totally broken in Valhalla on all platforms (I play on Xbox Series X). Do a forum or global google search for it and you find a lot of results.

The only solution is to disable HDR on the console if you want to enjoy Valhalla and enable it again if you want to play another game. I never posted about it before because it is one of the most mentioned problems on this forum. So I do not get why this is not in the known bugs list on this forum, because people have complained about the HDR implementations multiple times each week since launch. More then 20 topics with hdr in title, but it is also mentioned in a lot of bug/screen tearing posts.

    Ubisoft totally ignores it.
