    waht i am triying to say with this post, is that for example in this game and other open worlds are a lot of things for filling. For example ambushes... the point of an ambush is that you caught your adversary off guard you know... who hit first hit two times... but in this game is a stupid mechanic with a very little punish for the player, maybe with a wounded system... the ambushes could have more impact and sense or maybe with a preparation mode if you are traveling you don't have your weapons at hand...( you are a viking in a foreign country) and you need to think about to fight on desventage or to run away. Cloack and blow and shield needs to be incompatible because obvius reasons this mechanic put sense to stealth some times and to fight and could be a reason to camp, you mount your camp unpackage your stuff and decides how to approach your next place. Your ship could be your warehouse until you go to your settlement. the terrain must punish you like in ghost recon breakpoint for example you ship crew could die and you need to recruit more and depending on your acts they are good people or bad people if you are an honour captain they are warriors or if not bandits and killers... i am not a developer and the game is good but is all very simply. Less rpg and more gameplay complexity.

    problem with ac games in general is that they dont offer a challenge in general, i played both odyssey and Valhalla on hardest setting yet both were [censored] easy.
    Thats a shame. Its cool when a game is really hard and therefor you have to consider every skill point and new weapon/armour piece carefully and balance power and survivability.

    i just dont understand what their goal with these different difficulty settings when playing on drengr adds nothing to th egame.

    @asgardian02 yes agree.

    This settings and type of games has a lot of potential ,but ubi makes just the minimun effort.

    Their goal is cosmetici useless stuff to sell in store and sell armour and weapon, stop.

    Deep and challenging mechanics could makes become this game a marterpiece of open world, but now is Just a good game but bad open world.


    Why don't have a weight system that affect jump, dodge, run?
    Why don't have a free jump and foothold for climbing,instead of this scripted and boring way?

    A system where player has to choose what to be, a light Assassins that can climb everything or a power warrior with specific ability in melee?

    And difficult of battle, come on, enemy are dumb, attack 1 or 2 per time, there is no risk to be spotted because you can kill everything;)

    thats why doom eternal is so cool and well done and add so much replay value.
    Its easy to learn but very difficult to master. Their difficulty setting are really hard but that really make you want to make an effort and try new stuff.
    Its super awesome!

    yes man... more complex mechanics, the older combat system like ac 3 was great for a light assassin, and if you put a stamina bar or a wounded system... maybe... ,can do it more dificult and you, no become a killer machine, and then you need to consider to run away.
    The dodge in this game is very bad in my opinion is like a teleportation, and destroy the feeling of the combat and a evade sensation.
    another example if for hunting or fishing maybe you need to carry your prey and then you are not ready for combat and then an ambush or another predator... maybe you need to go with somebody of your crew and they carry your preys.. something that
    show you that the world around you is alive and you are part of it, and is a little challenging.
    You arrive a some point dock your ship and mount a little camp, and manage your crew, some people to hunt, anothers to scout...
    For parkour for example you are running in a roof and it is inestable and brokes you can fall and be wounded in your leg, or a tile broke and you can fall, later you can see people fixing up this roof... maybe it is not posible for technican reasons.... but...

    Agree on dodge in this game,is like a magic teletrasport, and the same for enemy.

    There is animation of dodge for some enemy taht are garbage,totally garbage.
    Evasion of 4 meters, instant dodge After a hit, invulnerability frame of thousand seconds( for example enemy with long sword, or lynx.
    You hit them but trepass body with no damage;(

    thanks man, ideas needs to discuss and polish and something that sounds well later is total trash...
    At the end i like ac valhalla, is very beautiful and better than oddysey, but always has this sensation of lost potential in this open world... we will see the next ac.
