    A few things that have become apparent that will need to be amended sometime in the future, by no means a conclusive list however personally I've noticed;

    Skill Preview Videos - Every time the game is on for more than 20 minutes, the small videos that preview skills will invariably play at around 200% the speed, this is a minor graphical glitch but should be amended.

    Pathfinding issues (typically on horseback) - When riding with NPC's you cannot; Follow The Road -> Go To Quest Objective. You will simply sprint off and leave the NPC's behind, which means that your objective will change to reunite you with the NPC's you have just left. One other such example is after finishing missions wherein NPC's must be escorted to a location, they instead stand around "searching" for something while you wait for their AI to conclude that all the check markers have been met and they can proceed to the next location in the quest. Often times it's faster to simply exit the game and load back in, which is obviously not the intended way to play.

    Stealth and detection - Possibly more complex, however, it seems incongruent that while attempting to stealthily infiltrate a stronghold, a guard stumbling upon a body that has been left behind after a hidden shot with a bow and arrow now alerts everyone to Eivor's exact location, including setting him to a combat stance, removing the cloak and drawing weapons leaving the only recourse to witlessly smash through the entire area. This makes the infrequently seen bells that can be sabotaged pointless, as enemies all apparently share a hive mind.

    Control problems - Often times after jumping down from a reasonable height, Eivor will automatically go into a crouch, this seems like it's just a conflict with the way the control scheme works as it seems largely unintended and also infrequently replicable suggesting it's not an intended feature.

    Audio Balancing - This one is strange but in combat, particularly whenever Eivor grabs a Goliath type enemy and chokes them, the battle cry he lets out afterwards is borderline inaudible, which just makes the scene look comical, he's just throttled a man twice his size but his triumphant roar is tiny. This is just the most notable example but it's prevalent in almost all aspects of the game so far.

    It's worth mentioning that now after just clearing 50 some odd hours into the game that these issues while seeming minor have caused no small amount of frustration when compiled together, there's almost no reason for these kinds of small issued to slip through adequate QA.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Agree with paragraphs 2 and 3.

    I believe in Odyssey we had an option in a quest where we had to follow someone, to simply press a button to “go to quest marker”, so I don’t know why they didn’t just apply to Valhalla as well. It makes everyone’s lives a lot easier.

    Oh my god, the stealth needs massive improvements and I agree with every word you said. In Origins and Odyssey when stealthily clearing out forts, one successful tactic I used all the time was to climb the nearest tower and pick enemies off with the bow one by one, taking my time and not rushing anything. In these two games it worked very well as, even if a guard down below is looking around for me, it was very realistic in the sense that you aren’t immediately detected.
    In Valhalla however, if I tried to use this same tactic and I was sniping from a high tower, I’ll be detected instantly the moment a guard on the ground even glances in my direction, even if it’s for a split second. I’m playing on normal difficulty too. It’s a bit ridiculous and needs fixing.

    Better AI that tries to detect a player when he's being a sneaky archer.

    Rebalanced skill poitnts rewards (reduced greatly).

    More significant loot everywhere that can actually be used.
