  • [PC - BUG] Unlocking a locked door from the inside causes the door to be bugged in River Raids. (1.1.2 Update)

If you try to unlock a locked door from the inside, sometimes (not every time) the door stays locked/closed and the prompt to unlock/open it disappears. The workaround, for now, is to go and ram it down from the other side with your Jomsviking's help as usual but I know this isn't the intended behaviour.

  • Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

    Hello again @NeOVoltron!

The development team have reached out to us regarding this report. They would like a copy of your save file to help in the investigation. Would you be able to upload a copy of your affected save file to the cloud for us? We can then collect this and pass it along to the development team for a closer look.

    Thanks! 😊

Thanks for uploading that for us, @NeOVoltron!

Are you able to upload a manual save or an autosave rather than a quick save? You should be able to upload your save to the Ubisoft cloud in-game as well. Could you please try this for us?

    Thanks! 🙂

    Hello again @NeOVoltron!

The development team have been investigating this issue further, and would like to collect some more information from you:

    • Have you encountered this issue at all following TU 1.2.1?
    • If so, can you let us know which river raid location does this issue occur on? Please provide a screenshot of the map, as this will be helpful as the team try to replicate this issue in-game.
    • Does this issue only happen when using mouse and keyboard, or have you encountered the issue when using a gamepad at all?

    Thank you 😊

@ubi-borealis I have noticed a similar issue. Sometimes when I open the door from the inside (interaction pops up) it remains closed in TU 1.2.1 (on PS4).

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, @bielik01. Does this only happen whilst taking part in River Raids, or have you noticed this happening in other locations? Could you let us know where you've noticed doors won't unlock correctly?

Just to confirm, are you using a Dualshock 4 with your PS4? If you're able to capture any videos, this will be helpful for the development team's investigation as well.

    Thanks! 🙂

@bielik01 Thank you for sending all of these videos! I would like to see if this can be resolved with our guide here. These steps include restoring your licenses, which can resolve a decent amount of game related issues. Also, does this issue of doors not unlocking only occur during River Raids? Or have you noticed this issue affecting other doors in-game as well?

@ubikobold I can only confirm the issue in River Raids (because I completed any other location). I also noticed the doors in the beginning were opening correctly, but when I entered Northern Monastery all future doors on the map were shut. I didn't use the guide - I don't feel like it would help at all.

I've seen this happen all the time in river raids. In fact, it is more often that a door fails to open from inside than it is to function normally. I am on PC. This has been happening since before 1.2.1. I can't remember when it started. Most of the time, I just avoid doors or bash them from the outside because I expect them to be broken. Just wanted to chime in because it really doesn't seem to be save game specific or an issue with licenses. Seems like it is just bugged.

Thank you for that extra detail bielik01! I've forwarded your videos and information to the Game team so that they can look into this further. Thank you lemmie88 for letting me know that you experience this on PC as well. It is unfortunate, but good to know that it is occurring across the different platforms, as this will help the Game team work towards a solution. Most of the videos were on the River Severn, but it sounds like this issue occurs in varying places around the map. Can either of you pinpoint other locations where this is occurring?

Also, lemmie88 are you using a mouse and keyboard or do you use a different controller? If using a different controller, please provide the make and model. Thanks!

@ubikobold I am on a mouse and keyboard. I'll try to update with specific locations if I ever find myself river raiding again.
