    Thanks for sharing an update with us! I've merged together some of your separate posts into a single post. Just to clarify, has the foliage/ropes reappeared in-game for you, or are they only available in certain areas? You mention that you're unable to view any foliage in Utgard. Is this the only place now where foliage is missing for you?

    Sorry for that got too excited 😆
    Utgard is the only place where my foliage and ropes reappeared. Other places in England (currently in Essex) and Asgard had those gone around Eivor. I am not sure when my bug appeared but it certainly was not there at the beginning of the game.

    No worries, @Dr_eam! I know there's a time limit to edit posts as well, so sometimes an extra post is needed. Thanks for confirming that Utgard seems to have returned to normal for you. I'm sorry to hear that the issue persists elsewhere for you in-game.

    The development team are still investigating this issue further. As soon as we have any new updates to share with you all from the investigation, we will let you know within this thread and in the News & Announcements forum.

    @ubi-borealis Hi again! I just came back from Mastery challenge to Ravensthorpe and guess what... my foliage is back again. Well this is certainly one interesting bug!

    Thank you for sharing an update with us, and for letting us know that your foliage is back again following a Mastery Challenge! 😄 Just to confirm, is the foliage back everywhere you go, or just in Ravensthorpe? It would be useful to let the development team know which locations have gone back to normal for you.

    Sorry for a late reply. As far as I can see its back everywhere. I am now on Jorvik missions and it's all sitting here beautifully 😍

    Hi all, I've had this issue for many many months now and had some time at the weekend to run some tests to fix it. The one that actually worked was from @Dr_eam

    I went to the main camp to start the quest for the Mastery challenge, got the part where you can select from 3 different missions. Ran through one of them for a few minutes, failed it and spawned back to where you select the missions.

    At first all the textures looked fine, but on further inspection, they were kinda flickering. So I tested it again with fast travelling to Lundon to see if that improved it. At first, it was still flickering, but as i hit the objects (such as bushes and tents), the textures were fine. But after hitting a few objects and about 5 minutes of running around, my game is now back to how it was. I wound highly recommend trying this test as it worked for me, but I would expect Ubisoft to officially patch this at some point.

    (FLICKERING WARNING - To anyone who suffers from seizures on the video attached or trying to test this in game)

    So I've tried the workaround with the mastery challenge also. And for me the issue seems to be gone as well (everything seems back to normal). After completing the challenge I had the blinking textures, then saved the game. Went back to home on XBOX and entirely closed the game. Reloaded the game opened the save game and it was back. Fast traveled to several regions and cities and so far so good.

I'm glad to hear that the graphics have restored completely for you after starting a mastery challenge. I've passed on your reports to the development team, alongside the original workaround, to see if this can assist with the ongoing investigation.

    For those who are affected by this issue, please can you try the steps outlined by @Dr_eam in their earlier post:

    I just came back from Mastery challenge to Ravensthorpe and guess what... my foliage is back again.


    If this resolves the disappearing graphics for you, please don't hesitate to update us so we can let the development team know more about this workaround.

    So the issue has come back for me but it's only affecting England. I have the DLC and Ireland/Paris, while affected if I boot the game in England, are fixable - until I go to England again. Any updates on this please?

    Hey there @GiftdBlackSheep - I am sorry to hear that the issue has returned for you, even if only in England. At the moment, this issue remains under investigation by the development team. We haven't received an update in relation to this issue for a little while, so I've sent a message over to the team to see where they're at with it. If I receive a reply with news as to the status of the investigation, I'll be sure to let you and everyone else affected by this issue know here in this megathread.     @ubi-woofer is there still no update for this? I would really like to finish the main story but this issue is making it increasingly difficult to enjoy the game

    I've been having this problem for a YEAR now and all I want is to play the game without the foliage, grass and tents from disappearing. I really love this game but it makes me really mad that this STILL hasn't been fixed. I bought the digital version of the game when it came out and I'm 130+ hours i It all started when I went to Vinland back in April of last year. I continued to play it hoping that it would fix itself but sadly no. Then I moved my saved data to my husband's ps4 and it's still an issue. So he got me the Disc version of the game thinking that it might fix it. It did but only when you don't download the patches. So that makes me believe that this was put into the game from previous patches and no one is fixing the issue. I've tired: Reinstalling the game though Disc and digital, going back to previous saved slots, turning off the HUD and setting all the settings back to default. Nothing fixes it!! I'm getting really tired of this.

    I apologise for the delayed response. Thank you for updating this thread with your reported regarding disappearing graphics in-game, and for sharing your feedback regarding the ongoing investigation.

    The development team are still investigating this issue further. We don't currently have any updates to share with you, including any news of a resolution. I've reached out to the the team to see if we can get any new details to share with you all. Once we have any additional information to share from the investigation into disappearing graphics, these will be posted within this thread as soon as they are available. Any future updates will also be published within the News & Announcements forum via patch notes.

    In the meantime, some players have shared that they were able to fix the issue by deactivating HDR. We have also had some players confirm that the following workaround helped to resolve the issue for them:

    • Open Options menu
    • Navigate to Interface tab
    • Set every HUD option to Off
    • Save and quit the game
    • Reload Assassin's Creed Valhalla
    • Load a manual save (if possible, one from before the issue started happening)
    • Go back to the Interface menu and reset options back to default. Close the menu.


    If you haven't tried either of these workarounds, we'd recommend that you give them a try to see if they help to alleviate the issue.

    The dedicated teams have asked us to reach out to you for an update. Are you still experiencing disappearing graphics in-game, or has the issue been resolved for you?

    If you are still experiencing disappearing graphics, the dedicated teams would be interested in collecting a copy of your console save for further investigation. To do this, would you be able to create a support ticket? When creating a support ticket, please attach a copy of your affected save file so we can forward this to the dedicated teams. This support article can show you how to submit your save for investigation. Additionally, when opening your support ticket, please include a link for this thread and state you were requested to submit your saves for investigation by the Player Support team within the forums.

    Once you have submitted your save file, please can you update this thread to let us know as well, so we can ensure that it's passed on to the correct teams.

    If you're having any trouble in creating a support ticket or submitting your saves, please don't hesitate to let us know and we'll gladly assist you further.

    @ubi-borealis Unfortunately it's still happening. Like I've stated before I've tried everything and it's still won't work. I've thought about buying the new DLC but I'm afraid that won't fix it and my money go to waste. I really love this game and I want to be able to play it and finish it and also be able to enjoy the DLC. I would be more than glad to send you my save file. Is there any instructions I need to follow to get it off of my PS4? I've never done this before.
